OOC: This is a topic for only the people listed. After someone (one or a couple) of the people listed notices TJ's condition, they should admit him into the hospital wing. This is in the timeline of after all my other previous RP's. So, basically, Contemplation with Ryder Munro, Here Comes The Sun with Morgan, Drastic Thread with Morgan and The Silver Snake Returns with Lucre are all before.

If you PM me to join this thread (you must have RPed with me previously), I might be able to add you. Thanks guys, this is a really deep, tragic thread on TJ's life, so it should be taken seriously. Also, someone will need to take care of Will.
BIC: It had been a bright and beautiful morning, the sunny out on a mildly breezy day. The weather temperature was in the mid 30's, so it was a relatively warm day for a wintery date creeping towards Christmas Eve. Snow was beginning to melt, and light twittering could be heard from the migratory birds. This Saturday morning, since it was indeed such a brilliant day, Torrid James Nightshadow, better known to his companions and acquaintances as TJ, or to some of the few close friends, Teej, decided to set out and finish his Christmas shopping.
He had already bought presents for several friends and teachers. For each of his teachers he had bought a box of fancy chocolates and a tin of mint teabags. For three of his special teachers, however, he had given something different. To Professor Andrey Lionhorse, a brilliant man who, unfortunately, had no consistent students except for TJ, the Ravenclaw pupil had bought him a book written in Anglo-Saxon Futhark for him to decipher and learn from. Apparently, it was a recently published hit, containing mysteries of the old that only experts on Ancient Runes could understand. For Professor Sylph O'Dell, his friendly purple-haired Magical Creatures Professor, TJ had bought her a sterling silver bracelet, with engraved mythical creatures imprinted into the fine piece of jewelry. And, last but not least, he gave one gift to his curiously close friend and mentor, Professor Ryder Munro. To him he gave a guitar crafted by elder wood, because of it's connections to Faerie Magic. All were neatly wrapped and stored underneath his bed. Though they might not have all celebrated the holiday, he made sure he was to spread the festive cheer and message to all.
For his friends, he had trouble deciding what the get them. For Silvain and Selena, his two 'young siblings', he had purchased top-of-the-line Firebolts, thanks to his dad, a writer, who had a fan running a local broom shop. TJ had cleaned out half of his earnings, though, to purchase them, even though they were indeed on discount. For Felix, an acquaintance, the brown-haired youth bought him the Christmas Relient K album. He knew the Gryffindor first-year had expressed interest of the band. He knew Felix might not have gotten the present, for he was on trial, but he hoped he would just be warned and return for the holidays. For Shadow, he purchased a dueling scarf, and shipped it to the cell he was held in. For Gwen, he purchased her a box of cookies and a sterling silver set of earrings. He hoped she would like them, and he also hoped that it would pass through the heavy security of the Ministry.
For his dear little friend, Toby, the Ravenclaw youth had bought him a stuffed dog named Alex. It was a cute cocker spaniel, and Teej hoped he would have him with him, along with Bun-Bun, his bunny. For Teagan Monolayre, he bought her a bottle of exotic perfume. Though he doubted the monotone-voiced, emotionless, simple girl would use it, he hoped that she would realize that her help when he was lost was appreciated. For Ignatius Fletcher, known to him as Iggy, the festive adolescent bought him a military cap from his favorite outlet. For Star, a good friend, Teej had bought a book series called 'The Heroes,' a series he extremely enjoyed. He hoped she would read them, for he enjoyed them, written by his very own dad. Maybe it was a bias, but the book had received great reviews, so Teej hoped that Star would think the same. Xander, a Hufflepuff acquaintance, was to receive a silky yellow scarf. He decided to buy something for Thomas Lucre, his former 'enemy', as a gift of reconciliation. Since he knew of his fashionable taste, the boy bought him a designer jacket. Attached to it read the letter, 'Sorry for my outbursts, Lucre. I apologize, I was out of control. Please take no offense to it, and I wish to start a new and better friendship with you. Yours Truly, TJ.'
Now that he bought things for all of his remembered friends, and gifts for his family (not mentioned, for they were more inside jokes and personal items), the boy knew he had one precious person left to buy a gift for. Miss Morgan Pendragon, his dear sister-like friend. She had been a guiding light to him, a shoulder he could always lean on, a trustworthy companion, a close confidante and a loved girl. It was so hard for him to get her the perfect gift, and thoughts shot through his head of gift suggestions. He would often walk into a store, carefully choose an item, purchase it, walk out of the store feeling uneasy, and then quickly walk in and return it. He finally decided upon a simple but meaningful gift. He bought her a simple gold, heart-shaped locket, delicately beautiful but simple. On the inside were the words engraved, 'Sister Forever, Love TJ.' He had bought something similar for his two other sisters, Pat and Anne, and it was very special to buy something like it for Morgan. He bought it and with a cleared heart, he wrapped it in a jewelry box.
All of his gifts were wrapped, and the spirited teenager had either shipped it to his friends and family or placed it under the communal Firefox Christmas tree. He was so happy and light-hearted, until an event changed his life forever.

Sitting at the festive Feasting Hall, his cheeks glowing from being outside for basically the whole morning, TJ smiled as he sipped a mug of warm cocoa. The steam rose to his face, as he drank the warm chocolatey liquid. His dark bistre eyes were closed, in aroma and taste of the hot winter drink. Making sure not to scald his tongue, the Ravenclaw carefully smiled as he the drink brought back memories of the past school year at Firefox. It had been a learning experience, where he learned many things, and made many lifelong friends. He had changed considerably from the rebellious, flamboyant kid, to a friendly, more controlled and compassionate teenager. Yes, Firefox University worked miracles in his life, and now he sat here, at Christmas season, ready to go home for the holidays. He had started to pack his bags, and was to leave on Saturday night after giving farewells to friends and acquaintances. One thing that made him even more joyous was that his baby brother was to arrive soon. He had waited years for a younger sibling, and the knowing that he would meet his new brother made him so happy. It was a feeling of pure blissful happiness, a contentment that Teej rarely felt.
Suddenly a coo was heard, and a bird fluttered clumsily into the room. It was Snowy, his family owl! It had been a while since Teej had received a letter, and he quickly waved to the white bird, setting down his mug of cocoa. The bird immediately spotted his master and quickly swooped down, his wings flapping rather clumsily. It had probably been a long journey. Flying down and landing on the table, cooing very softly while staring into Teej's eyes, the bird attempted to kick off the letter tied to it's leg. It had a habit of dropping letters, so the Nightshadow clan had worked out a system of tying the letters to Snowy's leg. Smiling as he quickly untied the envelope from Snowy's bony legs, the boy ruffled the owl's feathers. "Hiya Snowy," TJ said gently, "How's the family? In fact, lemme get you a treat." Pulling out his wand and tapping the table, a plate with a single piece of dried fish sat on it. Pocketing his wand and grinning as the bird wolfed down the treat, the happy teen continued to stroke Snowy's feathery 'mane'. The bird clacked it's beak in satisfaction, pecked Teej lovingly, and flew off.
TJ smiled. What a beautiful, old owl. He was curious on why a letter had been sent, considering that he was to visit his family soon. Opening the letter with keen interest, the boy watched as the letter fluttered to the floor. Picking it up, the inquisitive lad began to read. The letter was splattered with tears, and he quickly read as his heart began to beat faster.
Dear Son, [tear splatter]
We wish to inform you that your baby brother, Travis, died at birth. [tear splatter] We want you to know that he was a beautiful child, and that he had your eyes. Please do not come [tear splatter] back for the Holidays, for your mother is in a mentally unstable condition. [tear drop] We love you, and wish you a dear Merry Christmas.
With Love, [tear stain running down to the end of the page]
Dad
Shock ran through Teej's fingertips as he read. Tears dripped down his face as his heart seemed to rip into two. Why? ran through his head as his dark, tear-filled eyes locked onto the page. He felt so utterly destroyed, and it seemed the world had died. All his dreams and happy thoughts of a new baby brother had been shattered, and he seemed to die in his spirit. He collapsed from the shock, his body convulsing in pure despairing sadness as he sank it a deep coma, his body falling limp. His limp form hit the ground, his head lulled to the side, a stray tear still streaming down his face. It was, indeed, a tragic holiday gift.
