Instead of taking her tea in the Gryffindor Common Room that day, Echo Fatalis decided to have it in the Feasting Hall. She knew not everyone there would be drinking tea at four o'clock, but that's always when her family had sat down and had their tea and it was a tradition she couldn't even consider breaking, even if she wasn't with all of them when she had it.
The Feasting Hall had tea sitting out, as if it were there just for her. Also, a small plate of little cakes and crumpets and biscuits. It was like her own little tea party! Of course, it had happened for her many, many times before, but it was her first day back to Firefox and she was very happy to see her little setup there once more. To her, it was a reminder that the school was just as incredible as it had been the first day she went there.
Fortunately, she was dressed appropriately for the occasion. Which, again, was a little odd since she would probably end up having tea by herself, but that didn't matter to her. In a cute pair of pink heels and a flirty dress, Echo sat down for her tea. Her kitten, Kova, hopped up on the bench next to her and mewed until Echo sat a cup of tea in front of him as well with a smile. "There! Now we'll have tea together. I'm not so alone." She knew someone had probably heard her, but she also knew that the animal could understand her somewhat, and she didn't mind seeming a little crazy.
Chika walked into the feasting hall with Her DS in hand. She saw a girl with a tea set off to the side of her. Chika noticed that the girl also had cakes and other things, of which she did not know. Even thought the girl was at a table that was not hers , she wished to join. As she walked closer she noticed a cat with a cup of tea in front of it " Better not sit on the cat." she mumbled to herself. She then leaned on the table next to the girl. "Sorry to interrupt but may I join you for tea. As i would like some.

Echo turned to see the young girl standing there and smiled. "Uh, sure," she said, keeping a friendly look on her face. "It's high tea time back home, so I figured I'd sit and have some with little Kova. But of course you can join. Everyone is welcome for tea!" the sixth year added with a laugh. "Please, sit," she invited, setting out another teacup and pouring some for the girl.
"What year are you? I'm Echo, sixth year," she was friendly and smiling, just happy to get her mind off of everything she was dwelling on.
Chika smiled and sat down on the other side of Echo were the up of tea was for her. She sipped the tea. " Needs more sugar." A bowl of sugar apeard. " Thank you." She talked at the table as if it were a person. Chika then slamed her hands on a spoon on the table. the spoon went flying and landed into her hand. Chika scooped two big spoon fulls into her tea. She listend to the girl wile she was doing this. " Hi Echo, I'm Chika and I'm a first year. You can call me Chi-chan if you wish. Thats my nickname. By the way what dose high tea time mean? Is it something were the tea is higher up and you have to stand t get it?"

Echo smiled at the first year, thinking of her twin sisters Feia and Elia. "Are you enjoying your first year at Firefox?" she asked kindly, remembering her own first year. It seemed so very long ago, back at Beauxbatons Academy. Taking another sip of her tea before she explained, Echo set the cup down daintily on it's saucer and crossed her legs, stroking little Kova as she spoke.
"Tea time, in general, is just the time of day when many- traditionally- sit down and have tea with family or friends. My family and I always have tea promptly at four o'clock, and I can't help but keep doing it," she explained. "High tea is actually having tea with a large meal, so I suppose it doesn't quite go, but since we eat just a little bit after I finish my tea, then I just end up putting the two together and calling it high tea time." She shrugged, not sure if the girl would think she was some crazy British girl, but that was okay.

Rhory sat quietly among his peers. He read a volume of the Bestar British Bestiary. His English was sloppy, but his parents figured it would be best for him to be proficient in other languages than his native Spanish. He slowly made his way, taking in each photograph. Studying the way each creature moved while the other students chattered around him. He sighed heavily when reaching "Unicorn', knowing that his book would soon be finished.
The afternoon was dwindling away, Rhory occupied himself, but he expected his mother's letter much sooner. It had been four hours since noon and the Ravenclaw began to worry. Was Laszlo, hid trusty mail currier, in danger!? It couldn't be he was too smart for that. His dark eyes glanced on the table before him. There sat Laszlo's return tree: a nice sour crab apple. He wasn't a picky bat, but Rhory liked to treat him. Next to that he eyed a half eaten falafel wrap. Though he had no meat in his diet, Rhory was rarely hungry.
Then, from above he heard a familiar screech and an odd wing flapping pattern. He smiled wryly as his friend entered the room with a thick letter from his mother grasped in his claws. His heart lit up at it's arrival, only if his face could do the same. Laszlo was coming in for a landing when everything went badly. The furry fruit bat lost his balance and flew a hard right- clipping a poor brunette first year in the head. He stumbled onto the table violently flapping his wings, sending tea in every direction.
Rhory's stomach dropped a thousand meters, and what little color was in his cheeks fell as well. Abruptly he stood and ran up to the girls. Why did it have to be females? He was so incredibly awkward around them. Without saying a word to either he snatched up his companion. Once in Rhory's embraced he calmed down. Then a moment passed and he began to blush as red as a tomato. He swallowed hard and retrieved his wand, "S-sorry... he's usually very graceful...", he cleared his throat, "for a bat".
With a little incantation and a little jig from his wand, he returned the girl's tea party back to normal. He didn't wash any mess that could have been on their dresses, but a simple cleaning spell could fix that. Even though it was not required, Rhory still dressed in his summer uniform. He wore a short-sleeved white dress shirt, neatly tucked into a pair of loose black slacks, and a belt, non-leather, tightened around his slender hips. On his left wrist was a black wrist watch with no apparent way of time-telling. His arms criss-crossed around his winged beast, and Laszlo was tangled in his blue and silver stripped tie... and it was beginning to chock.
He released his friends and the bat flew to Rhory's table to enjoy his expected fruit. Rhory eyed the girls for and second and his heart started to race. But more importantly his attention turned to his tea covered letter. Once again he clear his throat and timidly stated, "M-My letter...?"
Chika smiled at Echo " Yes thanks for asking. I love this school. So far I have already made about 4 friends or so. Oh so you tea time is like when my family goes to tea ceremonies every month. I understand that something like that is a die-hard habit to break. It's like me and my love of eating candy. I just can't stop it." Chika said as she puled a bag of M&Ms out. "Would you like some M&M...." Chika's thought was broken by a bat that clipped her head. taking off some of her long BLACK hair. She didn't seemed to mind. Chika watched the bat stumble onto the table. As it wing flapped tea started flying and Chika's cup went off to the side . Chika caught her cup in her free hand. The tea was still inside of the cup, lucky. When a boy ran up she knew the bat was his. When he spoke, he blushed. Chika smiled "It's OK". Chika had come out just fine, no stains on her clothes she looked to see if Echo was alright when her eyes fixated on a tea soaked letter. The boy spoke again and Chika responded. " Yes this must be your letter. Oh my names Chika. Nice to meet you umm. " It was obvious that she didn't know his name when she blushed as she handed him the letter.

The whole situation happened so quickly that Echo only had a chance to scream once from surprise before she burst out laughing. "Oh, how wonderful!" She exclaimed, clapping her hands at the hilarious show. As the young man returned the little tea party to normal, Echo looked around for her petite Kova. There he was, hidden under the only teacup that was still askew after the boy's spell had fixed everything else. Lifting the dainty, flower-painted teacup, Echo picked the small kitten up and started laughing again.
"Absolutely covered in tea! My, Kova, you smell just wonderful," she told the cat- who was meowing sadly- with a smile. She whispered a small spell and the cat was perfectly clean, along with the final cup. Finally, a moment to glance up and Echo discovered one very flustered-looking young man. "Oh, don't you mind yourself. It's perfectly alright. These things happen," she told him, hoping to stop his blushing and help him not be so embarrassed. "Besides, Firefox wouldn't be Firefox if we didn't have these things happen daily."
Looking around when he asked for a letter, Echo saw a rather thick one all folded up and still unopened, soaked with tea. But another spell fixed that and she lifted the dry letter and handed it to the boy. "What's your name? Do you drink tea? I am Echo." She couldn't help but keep talking... sometimes, when she started going, she couldn't help it! She was all teenage girl, that was for sure. As she spoke, a couple of her golden curls fell in her face and she pushed them back as she kept her blue eyes fixed on the blushing young man.

Rhory was greatly relieved that neither of the girls was upset. If the same thing happened to him, Rhory wouldn't have been able to keep his cool. One of the girls, the blond, thought it was a show. By the way she was clapping she rather enjoyed it. Both of the girls comforted Rhory, an he relaexed... but only a little bit. The blond made some remark about Firefox and Rhory replied with a delicate smile. He wasn't much with words around women... especially when there was more than one, and they were both pretty.
The brunette offered her name and Rhory's letter, he nodded and was about to introduce himself to the similar blushed Chika when the blond spoke. She too gave her name, but offered tea. He now knew them as Echo and Chika. Just by looking at them he could tell they were not Spanish. And Echo's accent was obviously northern European-- British? Rhory's uneasy smile remained. He took his letter and stuffed it in the pocket of his black slacks.
He wasn't sure if he wanted to join them for tea. He didn't want to look like a fool. His face was like an expensive wine glass. Beautiful, clear as a bell, but he looked like he could break with the slightest stumble. He bit his bottom lip and pull up a chair. Him and the girls now formed a triangle. He noticed that Echo was looked at him with a sweet eye, he tried to calm ad released his bottom lip to speak, "Umm, yes. I like tea. What sort do you have?".
Rhory highly doubted that any of the girl's teas had meat inside... he's be fine. But it might be hazardous if he stayed too long. "Oh!", he spoke up before anyone could reply, "M-My name is Rhory... Murciélago. Bat is my last name. It's... funny", he ended on a dead note and his eyes got hot, but he hated to cry in front of women, so he pulled back the foreboding tears and forced a smile.

Happy that the boy was brave enough to sit down, Echo poured him tea before answering his question about what kind it was. "The best of Britain in a cup- only the best for new friends," she replied as she poured more for herself as well, and putting a little bit back in a cup for the now dry little Kova. "That's a very handsome name you have, Rhory. And very interesting that you have a bat to match your last name."
She was trying to just make him comfortable with the situation, even though his face clearly revealed that he was a bit on the mortified side. But that was okay- Echo would make due with the situation and drink her tea happily. "I'm sure whatever else you would like would be happily provided by the house elves. As for here, we have little sandwiches, tea cakes, and some small biscuits as well," she told him, picking up one of the little cookies as she finished. They were divine, and she would have to remember to thank the house elves later, as she always had.
"You are from Spain, are you not? Your accent and name speak of it, but I want to be sure I am right."
