Lucius sat in the (relatively) empty feasting hall. Some people had classes, some people hadn't... Some had just had break, but he was just going onto it. The teen sat at the end of his house table, which was thankfully abandoned at his end... In his left hand was a crumpled note... His dueling partner and friend, the Slytherin Malachy, requested they talk about something important. He had no idea what it was, but he assumed that it had content that the other students didn't need to hear.
"Where is he? He was the one to set up this meeting, so I hope he doesn't forget..."
Why? Why did the boy sit facing away from the Slytherin table? Well he wasn't a Ravenclaw, maybe that's why... Well anyway. Malachy had just seen Luc enter the Dining hall, but was in conversation with some firsty who was asking for help on some potions homework. Well once he had finished with that he was about to stand up when he saw luc sit down. -.- Figures, the boy hadn't seen him.
Well he got up from the table and walked around to the Gryffindor. As soon as luc notice his me waved and said, "Hey guys who are you two doing today" He wanted to get to the point. So he addressed both people he wanted to talk to.

Waving at Malachy when he appeared, Lucius blinked a few times at the greeting
"Us... Two? Us?"
Well, Lucius wasn't expecting him to say that there was two of him... Immediately lowering his voice, despite no other students being around himself and Malachy.
"I don't know why you think there's two of me, but I can assure you that I'm the same guy you duelled all those weeks ago."
Did Malachy know about the demon? Well, given what it had done when he tried to walk away from that conflict with the Black Forest Church, it wasn't surprising...
"I'm one person... I just have a... Big... Problem... One that is my mirror per-say."
Malachy took a hard look at the person before him. Looking hims strait in the eye. As if looking for something. He wasn't about to tread inside the mind of a friend. But he wanted who ever was in there to know that he was aware of their presence. "Your one person with two minds. So, I know who you are Dante. But I don't believe I've met your friend. So who is he and what is he." He said keeping his voice some what low. He was sure that Luc didn't want people to know.

"He's no friend... Trust me on that."
Keeping his voice level, Lucius wasn't too happy inside with the turn of events... He would have preferred keeping the demon's existence a secret, but that wasn't possible when it wouldn't listen to him.
"It's... My dark half... I know exactly what it is, but I'm an atheist... So a demon isn't meant to exist to me..."
Sighing, Lucius pulled the red book from his bag... The accursed red book that he was having a hard time translating... The book that even if he COULD read it, would be useless to him. He couldn't perform any of the rituals inside it... Demonhosts were unable to by some form of demon law...
"If you really want the full truth, I had better explain what I am... I'm not a normal student... I'm... A demonhost. I have been for nearly eighteen years... It hasn't been fun I can tell you, not when you have "Mr personality" living in your head 24/7... "Demonhost" implies the demon can leave whenever it wants, but that's wong... That's "Demon-possessed", hosts have the demons bound inside them until it's either removed or the host dies."
Taking a deep breath, he put the book on the table.
"I have a book that I'm unable to read, but is useless to me even if I could read more than a handful of words... Demonhosts are banned from performing the rituals in here... Even the one to learn our "guest"'s true name. Only way we can control the demon properly is with the true name..."
His piece said, Lucius waited for Malachy to speak. Chances are he's get scared and run... Most people did when they found out... Some attacked him, like the Black Forest Church... Others didn't care...
Malachy was neither angry afraid. He was confused, not by the fact that he didn't believe the Gryffindor, Not that he didn't understand the situation or that he didn't know how to feel. In fact he was curiously intrigued by the demon itself. The thing that bemused him was the boy's terminology. If he was an atheist why did he turn to demonology for the explanation, rather than Multiple Personality Syndrome (MPS). Either the Gryffindor was lying about being an Atheist, or he was ginorent and didn't know the difference between being an Atheist and being a Gnostic.
Either way Malachy decided NOT to push the point. Instead he pulled out his wand. He took a quick look around. "Accio He said pointing his wand at an empty fruit bowl. "Aquamenti The bowl was quickly filled with water. Then smiling he pointed at the water and said "Speculum" The Water stilled and became as reflective as a mirror.
"I think I'd like to meet him." This wasn't rocket science usually such entities could be viewed or even brought out through a mirror.

"You don't believe me do you? You don't believe an aethiest will acknowledge a demon's existance..."
Shaking his head and sighing, Lucius decided to poke the demon in it's little abyss in his mind.
"I'll go wake it up..."
Oi! Wake up you lazy git!
Inside his mind the demon stirred... And it wasn't really happy about being woken up...
What do you want hume-boy?!?
Easy... Someone wants to talk to you. Go project youself in that bowl of water he tured into a mirror.
Being surprisingly cooperative, the demon did so. Molding the entire bowl's contents ito an apperation of itself, colours included, it stared at Malachy with fathomless black orbs.
"So you're the hume that my idiotic host woke me up to talk to?"[/b]
"For the record demon, I am NOT an idiot. I just prefere to not let peopl find out about my darker personality, namely you."
"That's rich! An aethiest with the proof that demons and devils and angels exist at his finger-tips, and he refuses to acknowledge it!"
"If there was a thunderstorm, I'll go stand on the roof holding the weather-vane yelling that God's a bastard. We'll see who laughs then, demon. Now talk civally, or I cast you back to the abyss."
Why did he agree to let the demon appear? All it ever did was poke snide comments at him...
as serious as this conversation was. Malachy couldn't help but smirk at the fiery entity before I'm and his host. Maybe Luc was annoyed but malachy was rather entertained by this bit of slap stick. A Luc's las statement Mal chuckled and replied. "Bet you both got a shock out of that. Really Luc i don't see any problem between you and this demon. Except you seem to treat him like hes repugnant and he treats you like well... like an idiotic twit."
Malachy said, "But I would have to agree with his last sentiment. How on earth are you an aethiest if you consider this thing a demon. That's like a Christian saying there is no heaven or hell, or a Jew celebrating Christmas sorry if that comes across as a bit rude but i just don't get it.
"I for exaple know there is an after life, or at least there is life after death. In case you haven't guess. I'm a medium. I discovered this last year. During a trip to the nearby crypt. Where..." He stopped and looked around making sure no one was listening. "Where the ghosts there led me to a place in the crypt where Fenris fenrir Had been held captive. And where I found his shed fur and hair on the ground. I have those precious potion ingredients in my trunk down stairs all waiting for a rainy day if you know what I mean."

"Quite easily... Because for there to be so much evil and suffering in the world, there can not be a God... Thus, religion is a lie. However, Demons are present in mythology outside of religion... I just choose not to believe they exist as Christianity and other religions portray them."
"You're not talking sense hume-boy... Whoever thought sticking me in someone whitout ambition like you really had an ironic sense of humour..."[/b]
Not rising to the bait, Lucius focused his attention on Malachy...
"Oh, trust me... If this guy didn't have to share my body, he would be turning the world to ash. It's my job to stop him from doing that... By self-appointment I must add."
"Oh, how noble hume-boy... Someone who liked destruction would have made a better host... Like all those others some centuries ago... I nearly burned down half of China's cities back then... Those were the days..."
"..."
Well, he did walk into that one... And so did Malachy by saying that there was nothing wrong with how he and the demon treated each other. After all, did the slytherin have to live with the psychotic homicidal sociopath that was the fire demon all day every day?
"Some days Mal, you don't know how close I come to preventing the demon from ever being able to come free or get a new host... I die, he dies with me... Permanently. You get the drift?"
"You wouldn't dare hume-boy... I'll make sure something happens to your precious Ravenclaw prefect before then!"[/b]
Lucius refused to continue speaking to the demon... It had threatened to hurt Morgan... Despite it's (obviously false) promise of going to leave his relationship alone... He Did want to yell something like "Leave Morgan out of this you hell-spawn trash!" or some other come-back, but he wasn't about to give it the satisfaction of rising to the bait.
Then your a gnostic, not and atheist. He thought with out speaking allowed. A gnostic was one who didn't believe in any one religion, and chose to believe bits a pieces of all religions. Not all gnostics believed there was a god but most believed in supernatural forces, such as magic, and in Luc's case demons. An atheist believed nothing but the solid, rational facts before them. However Like before Malachy decided to move on rather than push the subject.
Malach y listened to the rest of Luc and the demon's speech. When Suddenly one of the threats made by the abysmal being struck Malachy. Hard, "Ravenclaw prefect?" Malachy glared at the reflection of the demon, not actually realizing it at first. "You better not be talking about Miss Pendragon." He looked up at Luc, "If so Luc won't have to worry about exterminating you himself. If you or he hurts her I'll make sure your gone for good. You got that demon?" He said looking back down at the bowl.
So it seemed Morgan Had found her way out of Shadow's clutches, well good for her, but it seemed Malachy's work was no where closer to being done. What was with Morgan and her liking the dangerous type? "I might not even have to do it alone. I'm pretty sure Felix would back me up if it came down to Morgan being in trouble."

"He was... He was..."
Still refusing to speak to the demon, out of the knowledge that it would just hurl more abuse at him no matter what he said, Lucius kept his attention on Malachy instead.
"I would be long-shot of him... If only I could read the damned book and get several people to help with the rituals... Some damned law prevents me from doing them myself, since I'm a host..."
Realising what Malachy had meant with his reaction to the demon's threat, he thought for a moment before choosing his next words carefully.
"You have feelings for her don't you? I thought you had Dovie though..."
Nodding at Malachy's words about Morgan being in trouble and him and Felix coming to her help if that were the case, he lloked the Slytherin in the eye.
"You wouldn't be the only one Mal... You wouldn't be the only one at all. When I started my relationship with her, which was on valentines day I must add, I promised myself that I would not let her be hurt if I could do anything about it... Even if it cost me my life."
Not even blinking while he was talking, Lucius held the other student's gaze unflinchingly.
"And that my friend, is a promise you could stake anything on... I always keep my promises, and that's a fact."
"What am I over here? Scotc...?!?"[/b]
The demon didn't even get to finish... Since it was projecting itself using Lucius' magic rather than it's own this time, Lucius simply gave it a "power cut". The mirror-like water settled back into the bowl as the demon lost substance, returning to it's dark abyss in the Gyrffindor's mind.
"Don't you just hate people butting in like that?"
