Its not hard to believe that there is something greater in the world, something that cannot be explained or described with simple words. Just a feeling, a feeling of being so small and insignificant that it brings you to your knees.
That was the feeling that enveloped Leyla White as she observed the crowded hall, the four tables seemingly stretching to infinity. It wasn't lunch quite yet, but kids were already filing down the hall, smiling and laughing with friends who in turn giggled or smirked. The Gryffindor's were all laughing obnoxiously, slapping eachother on the backs as they acted like jocks who just won a football game. The Slytherins were sulking, hissing at anyone who came near their territory. The Hufflepuffs, Leyla's own house, seemed alright, if a little scittish. She didn't know much about Hufflepuff. Then the Ravenclaws... Let's just say that I think there is a 'claw' in their title for a reason, she thought warily.
Rubbing the spine of her book down to threads, she couldn't help but feel lost and alone. How was she supposed to survive in this school? It was so... so... big. And she had no friends. Nobody to talk to.
Feeling completely alone once again, Leyla made her way to the edge of the Hufflepuff table, watching her house-mates from the corner of her eye. In her mind, she imagined what she must look like from the outside. Quiet, shy, alone, scared maybe? They would remember their first day of school, mention the loner to their friends before going back to their meals or stories. But maybe someone would come over and try to talk to her. Just maybe. So she watched and waited in her peripheral vision, hoping.
OOC:// oh my gosh that sucks so hard >< Sorry, I didn't give you much to work with. First time RPing in a couple of months/index.cgi
