The thick heels on her uniform shoes clicked against the polished floor, marking her passage across the Feasting Hall. For a moment, she hesitated, unsure where to sit, before she eventually settled down at the Slytherin table. She did not mind sitting at the Gryffindor one, that was not it exactly, for her sense of House rivalry didn't extend beyond her desire to come out on top when things concerned two certain Gryffindor boys. It would just be awkward to be sitting there at another House's table, alone like that. Who knew who could show up while she waited for Leonora?
No, it was not even a question of that. It was obvious just who would show up: that Whites, perhaps even his little friend Leon, too. Give an inch, in this case sitting at their table, and they would certainly take more than a mile. No, she would sit here at her usual table, and if Leonora wanted to move when she came, they would move. Simple as that.
Absently, Micha settled into her usual routine, one slim leg crossing the other, hands straightening her dark pleated skirt, then rising to smooth her button-up shirt. It was not a matter of looking good for any certain person, no, it was more that she could not stand to be sloppy. When she was satisfied her uniform was in order, she ran her fingers over curly pigtails, then made sure her swept across bangs were similarly in order. Good, good, everything was good.
Yes, good. She wasn't smiling, as there was nothing exactly there for her to smile about, but she felt light-hearted, or at least what would have passed as such for her. If she had been the type to smile, however, she would have been beaming. Leonora was coming, and they were going to enjoy dinner and--
The Slytherin put her thin fingers to her cheeks, feeling a pale heat burn there. Look at her, going off like a girl. Next thing you know she would be giggling, or other such nonsense. She'd raised herself better than that, hadn't she?
Then again, Leonora was different. She'd cracked her formerly impenetrable ice facade, gotten through and warmed her. Even by herself, even in her thoughts like this, it was still almost too much for Micha to call her friend, but that's what she was. A friend. It was okay to break the code she'd followed since forever just once, wasn't it? For Leonora, she would.
Despite herself, despite the assurances made earlier about her near-incapacity to smile, her lips twitched, the corners sliding minutely upward. She didn't notice it, still sitting there somewhat dazed off like she was, but it was there, brightening her features like no amount of flattering clothing and artfully done makeup ever could.
Like this, she wouldn't have noticed if an elephant walked up and sat with her. It was nice to be a little off-guard, every once in a while.
[ooc: For Leon first, please.]
