It happened that on the twenty-second day of the fifth month twelve years following the event known as the fourth vampire war, a young witch passed beneath the arch on the far Southern side of a wizarding school. Melisande Isadore De La Rosa was a young, Spanish witch only recently arrived to Firefox. Very recently, in fact.
Within the last hour, to be absolutely precise.
The school itself was in close proximity to a small village known as Drakborough, within the Anarchy of Magical Spain. As Miss De La Rosa was herself Spanish, her journey here had not been very long at all, and, in fact, she had only departed her home a matter of hours before. We now hope that our heroine's location has been identified well enough for all but our most exacting readers.
We do hope that our readers appreciate our attempts at absolute precision in regards to the Young Miss De La Rosa, and furthermore, we have the joy and honor of describing the appearance of her person as it was that fine May day, which attempt is complicated as the witchling in question was possessed of a rather unique ability.
In short, she was what is known widely as a metamorphmagus. That is, she had the distinct talent of changing her appearance at will.
At that moment, she was, as was her habit, sporting curly, pink locks and brown eyes. She stood at about average height and weight for her age, and aside from the unusual color of her hair, which we have already discussed, there was little of note about her figure.
Melisande stood for a moment, to take in her surroundings with her usual care and thoughtfulness. At length she determined that no one was appointed as seneschal, or otherwise tasked with greeting and directing the recently arrived. This was not objectionable to the young witch, as she actually preferred to be left to her own devices. She sat down upon the trunk of her belongings she had brought with her as she perused a letter which had been sent to her home some weeks before. She had been sorted into the house of Ravenclaw, which house was known for their mental faculties above all else.
She was quite pleased with this decision, although now, however, she was left wondering how she might reach her new sleeping quarters without the guidance of another.DERP!
