He stepped into the old room with the ledge. Flashbacks swallowed his mind and he had to take a step back and breathe in. It was in this room that some time ago he had lost so much in one day. A brother...a close friend. Ammaterasu had so much despair and greif in his life. He ran his fingers through his blood red hair and let out a soft sigh and made his way to the ledge and peered out. He pulled out a small piece of paper with a wish wrote on it and a flower attached. Ammaterasu then slowly made his way to the wall which was still in pieces from the battle. He knelt where his friend Ratatosk had laid after Zetta choked her to death.
"If only killing Zetta would have brought you back. Heh, that'd be fantastic. I...I would give anything for you to be here with me. And I'm sure Ryo would want that too...and Chika. We all miss you terribly." Ammaterasu spoke to the rubble, he placed the flower and the wish on it there on the floor. "I'm here without you Ratatosk, but you're still on my lonely mind and I needed to let you know that...but...I think most of all I want to ask you for forgiveness. I brought disgrace to my name and my honor. And I need you to tell me its alright...its silly I know...but Ratatosk...I just wish you were alive."
Ammaterasu stood up and turned around. He never thought Ratatosk would die. It never crossed his mind so he never came.up with a way to deal with it if it happened. He believed she would stay alive forever. Ammaterasu felt a huge void in his heart. It ached for something to fill it. He had never felt so dreadful and depressed.
He longed to cry but he had cried so much before that no moisture found his eyes. Not even the stinging sensation, just an anxiousness that made his heart beat faster and made his brain believe that just around the corner he would see that bright smile and hear her bell like giggle and see the bright long blonde hair that trailed behind her. But her death was something that he just couldn't adjust to. He heart kept thinking she had just gone to sleep that that she would wake up soon. But she never would.
