It was the dawning hours of the night, and the Moon had just begun to rise in the sky when Tiberius Spurius materialized on the path to Firefox University. The first rays of moonbeams glimmered off of his hair as he slowly strode to the Arch of the old complex. He remembered when it was a great gate, back in the days of Slytherin himself until it was destroyed in a human war, but its revival in the form of an arch pleased him. It remind him of the triumphal arches of Rome, of the victories they celebrated, and that was the most likely theme the wizards were playing on: a celebration over the Society of Shadows.
Those times had come and passed, for the Society was no more, and now the University was a weak vestige of its former glory. Tiberius smiled at all the parallels to the Roman Empire that formed in his head, but considering this place was run by a historian he could be right about the parallels for all he knew. Amusing tidbits aside, Tiberius had come before the University once more and he knew that the minute he set foot on the grounds an alarm would sound. That was how Talon and others knew when he was holding a vampiress in the Dungeons, and now the Nepehilim was relying on the speed of an enemy response. He wanted them to see this, because today he would wield powers that astonished all men.
The blond giant had long awaited for this day, to wield powers that only men like Windwaltz could possess, and now with both the books of Fire and Earth he could test out the true power of the Zodiac. The Creator and Order-Bringer paused as he reached the shadow of the Arch, and smirked: for the reason why he was here was to test out the first of the elements. Gazing at the stone pillars that supported the overhang of the Arch, Tiberius spread his arms low at his sides. Envisioning the stone columns, the Nephilim's eyes squeezed shut in intense concentration and the veins of his neck swelled as he back to exhert his will through the Books.
Fingers splayed as he saw in his mind's eye the ground beneath the Arch trembling, Tiberius started breathing deeply yet more erratic and his entire body began to shake as he strove against the mighty marble. He was a being unable to learn the secrets of Elementalism, a boon to humanity, but he had read the books and now knew their secrets. He envisioned the pillars to be actually smaller than they were, and fooled his mind into believing it. And then everything became clear in his head and the earth beneath his feet stirred. This was a type of power that Tiberius never experienced and his heart pounded in his chest as the occasional shake turned into a tremble and continued to grow in magnitude.
Mortar shook from the stonework, as if the structure was coughing up blood, and the stones themselves started to tremble as Tiberius increased his concentration. Now all of the area in front of him had begun to shake violently and the Nephilim's eyes lite up with adrenaline: for while it was fun testing out his newly-acquired powers, it would be more imperative to see just how powerful they were against real wizards. After all, as he strove to bring down the entire Arch it would be only a matter of time before someone tried to stop him. Knight takes rook at D5.
