There's pretty much no coding skill at all required for this. It's just you, your writing skills, creativity, and a reasonable ability to indent.
Check out their games to see what you can do with this. I recommend Choice of the Dragon for a basic example for how it works. The other games are much more complex and have a lot more stats and depth of storyline. Even though they only have a few games out, the quality of these games is really impressive.
They obviously have a great depth of understanding in story-writing, role-playing and game design, which they blog about.
It's easy, and since we're all writers here, I think we should all give it a shot.
