I jumped right on in with the big 'ole rambling monster of mechanics when I was still uncertain if people would actually still be interested. I see I was pretty hardily mistaken, for which I am glad.
How is everyone? What crazy shenanigans have you been up to? XD

I've been really busy. I got sick a lot and have been trapped in grad school hell, but I will be graduating in August. After that I get to take my licensing exam. I'm going to be a physician assistant working in psychiatry. I'm still waiting to sign a contract and stuff, though. This is the reason I had to quit roleplaying, reading manga, drawing, and doing other fun things. When we go on Christmas break, my classmates and I are all very confused with what to do with ourselves because we don't understand how to deal with free time anymore. Any time I'm on here, I'm procrastinating.
My lovely sister has managed to stay out of the hospital (unlike me) and has been working full-time at Walgreens. She's going to start an EMT class or something soon.
Well, I got married to Julie, which I bet no one expected. Her life is the more interesting one, what with grad school and prospective hundreds of thousands of dollars of potential research funding when she gets her doctorate and goes for a post-doc. Incidentally, it is also why I see very little chance of her also joining us. D:
As for me, I basically just finished college and started working. For the past couple years I've been working at a non-profit, doing day habilitation for people with developmental disabilities. In other words, I am doing exactly what Ashelle would angrily proclaim I should do. I almost exclusively do one-on-ones, which results in me having random unexpected chunks of free time at work to doof around on my phone. Nothing major, but enough to reply to something if I wanted.

Hey guys. I currently work at the natural science museum nearby. I'm only part-time now, but I have an interview for a full time job in the exhibits department as a graphic designer coming up later this summer. This summer is also going to mark mine and my husband's ninth anniversary.
Speaking of which, I'm happy to say that we are currently in the process of adopting a child. We just finished our training class, and are in the home study phase. I don't have a time table just yet, but it's likely that we'll be parents (or at least foster parents) by Christmas.
Well, my last posts were in 2013, so at that point I had just started my first real job as a 3D modeler/draftman for a heating company. Since then, I worked for them for a year and a half, ended up becoming the CNC programmer and machinist as well planning the new facility layouts for our expansions, and ended up quitting when I got overworked. Then was unemployed for 6 months and ended up deciding to go back, but thankfully my old work is now done by two people so we're actually semi-staffed properly now, and I can focus on having fun working with models all day.
I am also pleased to announce that I now...have three cats.

As my sister said, I have not had any health issues recently. I am going back to school to get my EMT training then I will go on to be a paramedic. I'm still working at Walgreens and will be for a while (3.5 years and counting) until my schooling is complete. I'm currently a mom to two cats and a pig.

Wow, everyone else here is so productive. I'm just kind of languishing in an almost okay part-time job, making the most of my time by sleeping and playing video games. As this implies, my schedules get kinda wonky, but overall I have more free time than I can adequately fill. Since the job is pretty mindless overall, I can get away with daydreaming about character and post ideas most of the time.
At some point, I got a Bachelor's in Economics, but it hasn't really been of any use.
My sibling is currently in a wheelchair, trying to recover from some sort of off-the-charts back problems, due to a perfect combination of clumsiness, bad decisions and being made of paper-mâché.
On a lighter note, I recently acquired a gecko that I will gladly show off to anyone who asks, because it is, like, super cute.
Moved, started a Ph.D, quit a Ph.D when I realized you don't need a Ph.D to be successful, moved to the south, moved to the west, moved for the third and maybe final time to the great PNW. One fiance, one semi-instagram-famous dog, no kids. I work in advertising, primarily with a certain retail giant you have probably ordered something from in the past three months.
I'll likely be around. Good to hear from you guys again!
Last night I dreamt that I was chasing a pack of wolves, trying to belong.

...who could very well be persuaded to come back. This looks super awesome, I'm definitely going to keep an eye on things and brainstorm some ideas for tomorrow!
In the meantime, some of the other old MHers have stumbled across this place: www.theministryrpg.com/
It's set 5 years after the end of Harry Potter (not the epilogue), so if anyone was missing the more formal HP rpg, this place has it. They are not as loose on magic and randomosity as MH and FFU were, but there are still some neat ideas there.
New proboards is awesome. Moved individual post to a more appropriate thread for it. XD
Mayhaps you can convince some of the old time MHers to come join us when we make a new site. Not forcing them to choose FFU or MH if it is a third new site, right? XD
