Ew. Teagan inhaled sharply as the lycan entwined his fingers with her own. Looking up at him with irritation, she raised a slender red eyebrow.
Didn't he know that entwining them like that made it very difficult to let go in case of an emergency? It was not safe, which is why she never did things like that (obviously). Perhaps he would use this as an opportunity to break her fingers (fingers were quite fragile and easily broken, after all, especially in the grip of a lycan) and then use that to force her loyalty for certain? Of course, she would never fall against something like that. Undoubtedly, she would stop at nothing to kill him... No, to return the favor.
She was still a virgin, as far as directly killing someone went--being a virgin in other ways was of little importance.
Anyway, he probably would not use this as an opportunity to snap her phalanges.
Little reason to.
She glared at him for a moment, watching him defensively, before turning away (her hair may have swished into his face) and mostly dragging him for a step as she imagined, as intensely as possible, where she wanted to go. Bastard.
The ground seemed to peel out from beneath her as she felt a tug behind her navel. The object carried in the bag at her hip became hot with a fury. Quite suddenly, her next step landed her in Hayzie's old store.
Teagan looked around at the familiar dust, wondering why no one ever bothered to clean this place. Spiders scuttled from her feet, rushing to the corners that housed their plentiful spiderwebs. She could smell something dead. Their was musty, cold, and damp despite the fact it was the middle of summer. She supposed Hayzie's spirit had moved on, but other beings had certainly made this place their home. She would not be surprised if a ghoul lived in this shack--and one or two other creatures as well.
Oh well. As far as frequent visitors went, Teagan Monolayre certainly was one.
After judging the place to be safe for the moment, she released Orca's hand.
The bag at her hip was very hot. Damn it. She would have to do something about that after all... Despite the chain's ability to nullify magic, the fact a person could not apparate with it or travel via normal magical means was undoubtedly too detrimental for it to be of much practical use. Perhaps she could design an altered prototype, one where she could trigger its effects only by--
She ravenclaw alum shuffled the design plans into the back of her mind. Priorities--such as the deadly surprise lord-of-the-woods that she dragged over here in the middle of a city full of prejudiced witches and wizards in the middle of the night and near a place rumored to house vampires--needed to come first.
She did not bother asking him if he knew where they were.
"You really want me to demonstrate the one-way reusable portals I designed?" she asked him softly, turning toward him at an angle, her movements unnaturally silent as her eery eyes locked onto him. Hell, she did not even know if that rune-made portal would grant a lycan, muggle, or other being passageway.
She supposed it was time for another test run.
