It was hot; too hot, for such an event, but that could hardly be helped. She had to applaud the new Care of Magical Creatures teacher -- even if she did send them out under the hot June sun to collect Graphorn horns, she was allowing them to do it individually. And that, at least to Micha Volkov, was something to be commended for. No more long, boring classes during which she was forced to sit next to her least favorite people in the world -- no more terrible, terrible classes during which she was forced to sit on her least favorite people in the world. Ugh! There was a foul taste in her mouth at even the barest thought of being somewhat close to that born-in-a-barn heathen Whites.
Resisting the urge to spit, the slender girl crawled a step closer to the pen, her dark eyes focused entirely on the strange animals before her. Well... almost entirely. Her attention shifted between the magical creatures and the space of air a few feet ahead of her. The Disillusionment Charm, or rather, her attempt at it, didn't hide Aleksei 100% of the time, so every so often she'd see a gray tail whisk into being before vanishing again. Ah well. Aleksei's Sneak level was much higher than her own, so it only made sense he would assist her in drugging the horned beasts. Pausing only to make sure her skirt hadn't hiked high enough to show her panties (no stockings today -- it was much too hot for that; she was even barefoot, if you could believe it), she edged closer, snuggling closer to the earth as one of the creatures swung its face her way. She and the semi-invisible cat stayed still, unblinking, until the Graphorn looked away, contentedly munching at some grass or whatever it was they were eating.
When they were close enough, Micha stopped and laid flat, motioning for the unseen cat Aleksei to carry on his portion of the mission. Most likely lashing his tail in a superior manner, the feline crept closer, jaws occupied with a length of twine, from which hung a bunch of sleeping-draught-infused carrots. As though he'd been doing it for his whole life, Aleksei slipped through a cat-sized opening in the paddock fence. Veering wide of a snorting male, the cat carefully tore the twine and released the carrots onto the ground, close enough they didn't make a noise as they thumped to earth. Quick as a flash, he was out of there and giving Micha a 'now what?' look she couldn't even see. The girl's face was tense with frustration as she patted the sides of her skirt. They'd gotten this far, only to forget her wand somewhere along the way? Inconceivable! Scowling, she began to back up. Maybe she'd dropped it during her psuedo-ninja on-all-fours crawl. Yes, that had to be it. Surely if she backtracked just a bit, she'd find it...
ooc: for the clout brothers first, please.
