OCC: I was joking, dude, but you better scramble, and fast. ;D Thank God I'm not a dark wizard... Heh, your charrie's probably smart enough to avoid capture.
ooc: Well all of this chatter may amuse some, I'd rather much like to resume the in character portion of this thread if you don't mind. Cause I'm inclined to give people a reasonable chance of escape or dueling: whatever they so chose. It makes the thread more interesting. And if I have to, I will technically double post to get this thread back on the go.
(( Pardon any waiting you may have had to do - unfortunately, I have school to worry about ))
"Of course not," Muryllis replied. Dangerous or not, these two were currently threats, and he had habits which his previous training had brought about - though it made no real difference, the Ravenclaw wasn't about to lower his wand. "Who are you, and what is your reason for following me? What are your ranks among the Death Eaters?" Of course he knew it was the speaker who had conjured a Dark Mark - he could sense the magical residue on her wand from where he stood. "Those of your Order are all condemned by default; any sighting of the Mark will alert Aurors. Now, speak."

((sorry jules....i was waiting...i know torrid Oh, why that does indeed tickle my fancy! im just a mong))
The slytherin scoffed slightly, pulling the hood over his eyes. "You think, we were following you?". He winced slightly at the light, why the hell was he standing in it? Darkness was much more comforting. He wanted to protect Gwen, to grasp her hand and tell her it was okay-but she seemed more confident than him. "Should we speak?" he muttered quietly.

"I'm afraid that the only speaking that you'll be doing is when you're arraigned before a court of your peers and sentenced for usage of the Dark Arts," came a voice from around a corner. Stepping around the corner was a man garbed in clothes that fitted those from the 17th Century, vermillion robes, red surcoat, and black felt hat adorned with a purple plume, who held a rapier in his left hand and a wand in his other. The man's face was obscured by the wide brim of his hat, but a look of disgust was lining his goatee: a warning sign for those that knew him. He had thought that Dark Wizards were in the Tunnel causing havoc and God knows what other kinds of mayhem, but instead he found students toying with devices far out of their reach.
Perhaps it was time for these children to be taught a lesson of what happens when you mess with the greater good.
"Young boys and girls such as yourselves should be in school grounds at these hours, should they not?" said Forbes with a restrained tone lacing his voice: his wand now pointing at the two Slytherin's. "First charge against the people of Iberia: the use of Magic by underaged person. Accio wands!" And as if on their own will, Shadow's and Gwen's wands glided to a stop at Julian's feet. A nod to his left, and his entourage of 4 wizards appeared, one of them confiscating the wands, and they formed a line that blocked escape from behind him. "Now it would appear that you have 24 minutes until you break curfew, so I guess I'll have to hold that charge in the benches." At this Julian shrugged his shoulders, but took a step closer to the Slytherins and he lifted his head upward slightly, revealing his foggy grey eyes.
"However you did use the Dark Mark, so I afraid that this falls out of your Headmaster's jurisdiction and into mine. The lot of you will come with me back to the Ministry Building and await your sentencing. Windwaltz will be informed of what you have done, and if you do not get punished by the Laws of the Court, then he'll be the one to punish you. Now will you come peacefully or shall I have to demonstrate just how strong the arm of the Law can prove?"

Post by Ras Alawhara on Oct 5, 2007 17:01:36 GMT -5
Years of experience had allowed Ras to go unnoticed, hidden in the shadows. He had been following Mury for a long while, waiting for the ex-shadow to become distracted and allow Ras the chance to do what he needed to do. For, nearly a year ago, Ras had been Unknown, and Unknown had done things to Muryllis which were still there, still effecting the Justiciar.
During the Shadow War, it was the goal of Robinson Scorpius, general of the Shadow Society, to gain entrance into the Chamber of Secrets. It was also the goal of The Unknown One to stop him. This seemed odd, since Unknown had spent years serving the leader as a general of the army of the Society, and you would think Unknown would wish for the Lord of Shadows to attain the ultimate power which the Chamber hid.
But, no, Unknown had a vow to fulfill, one traced back to the deathbed of Salazar Slytherin himself. To gain access to the chamber, Rob wished to use Muryllis, one who had turned from the darkness and accepted the light, to open the doors to the Chamber, since Rob himself could not. Unknown, in an effort to gain control of the situation, took Muryllis from Rob and Syrus and forced him into his control, using ancient magics which spiritually connected the two together.
Though, when Unknown and Rob met an end in the Chamber, Unknown having used it as a trap to end the Hunter's life, the connection was severed violently, leaving a small piece of Unknown's life attached to Muryllis like a tumor. Though, when Unknown was reborn and then turned from the shadows, the tumor became benign and it would go unnoticed, mayhap forever, by the Justiciar.
Ras, however, wished for this tumor to be destroyed, much like himself, and he would do so. As Muryllis was distracted by the students, the Auror, and the false Dark Mark which Ras was very familiar with, he moved almost like a ghost from the shadows, aimed his 13 inch ashen wand at Muryllis' head, and when he began to force the tumor from Mury, it happened.
There was a flash of purple and green and red and black light, which seemed so much brighter in the dark night, and then Ras felt it. He heard it. The voice, his old voice, in his head. Silly little man thinks he can... Ras pushed the voice back, trying to surpress it, but he could feel it in his skin. It was trying to return to him. The new color in his face drained, his hair seemed to turn back to its long black, and the sickly youth returned to his face. The voice continued in his head, trying to take the body back, fighting with him. His eyes flashed from green to red to black and then back to green.
Then, he fell still. His long black hair hung from his head, covering the young and pale face, but his mouth was still visible, its twisted grin showing lifeless white teeth. His robes seemed to have changed from a light grey to a sticky black, like leather, and a sword hung in a sheath from his waist. His hands had changed from the healthy hands of before to skeleton thin pale claws, one grasping his wand.
"Muryllis, remove yourself," the new figure, the one of old, spoke to the Justiciar, "This will soon become rather bloody, and it would not be fitting of you to dirty your robes, no?" The figure laughed and used his free hand to remove the old sword from it's scabbard, the blade picking up any source of light. The spirit of Unknown intended to spend the time it had in control in slaughter...

The Dark Mark had only made an appearance once before in the Triangle Tunnel. Count Robinson Scorpius had etched it into the great ceiling of the tunnel, although it had a peculiar difference to it last time--there was a purple scorpion riding atop the serpent, and the words of the Society of Shadows floating eerily upon the skull.
The Interim Minister Plenipotentiary had only just seen the Dark Mark when an agent of the Chief Auror arrived to inform Plutus what was going on. The Iron Wand merely nodded, standing and putting his bowler hat on as he stepped out of his room.
"Thank you, Mr. Longsworth. Make sure the Dementors assist Mr. Forbes in greeting our guests," said Plutus. Although many disagreed with the Minister's fondness of the dark creatures, they served their purpose.
Minister Plutus departed his safe house and made his way to the Ministry of Magic building, a cadre of bodyguards following him. With the Dark Mark in the air, all of Triangle Tunnel had come to life. Scores of purple-robed witches and wizards were seen emerging at every street corner. Bone-chilling dementors glided ominously near the entrances and exits of the tunnel, waiting for a snack from Plutus.
The Minister shook his head as he entered the ridiculously well-defend Ministry of Magic mansion. Did some fools honestly think they could cause a ruckus in the Triangle Tunnel? It was the seat of the Ministry of Magic, home to dementors, aurors, and Magical Law Enforcement officials alike. The loyalty of the people of Triangle Tunnel had been won over to the Ministry after Dominique Contessa's disgusting and murderous rampage; this loyalty was strengthened when the rumors of more Shadows returning were spread among the populace.
Plutus walked down a hallway, glancing around as witches and wizards busied themselves with the madness. He sneered slightly, annoyed by this minor disturbance, and began barking orders to activate every security force within the tunnel. If anything, the miscreants behind the attack would be made into an example of the Iberian Ministry of Magic's pursuit of justice and peace...at any costs.

(can i post?)
The young Hufflepuff giggled softly to herself. She hadn't started at FFU yet, she had a few more days before she was suposed to arrive. So for now, she spent her time exploring the local town of Drakborough.
Gazing out of accomodation window, she watched the stars appear over heard of the castle. She smiled inwardly as she dreamt about the magic that must be going on in the castle. She couldn't wait to join. Maybe FFU would wash away her sadness, her memories of the childhood she had lived. In her earlier years, before her mother had died, everything had been fine. They were happy, even Shadonie had been happy. They'd spent their days laughing and playing. Shadonie had grinned constanly, every now and again amazing her with the talents he had be granted with.
Then, Lily was born. It wasn't her fault she was muggle, but father had hated her. He set out on regular attacks against little Lily, hitting her and abusing her in anyway possible. She'd cried for days, locked in her room as her father beat her sister-unable to do anything. Sometimes she could hear Shadow trying to break the lock on his door, yelling for anyone he could. Nothing ever worked.
Until that day, her mother had weeped-thrown herself infront of Lily, refusing to move. He'd got angry, his wand was pointed at her mothers head. Azreals could remember the scream, the strength in which her brother had finally rushed at his father with. The flash of green light, and the silence. Her brother had held her tight as she poured tears onto his chest, shouting and cursing at his father.
And then they'd ran....
Azreals wiped a tear from her eye at the memory. She gasped at the sight from her window, what's that?. Rushing from the building, she ran towards the triangle tunnel. Shivering, she carried on. Why the hell was it so cold? Pushing her way past a crowd of people, she cried out in anguish. The two figures standing in the light, they must have cast the spell. The skull and snake she'd heard about.
Brushing silvery-blue hair from her face, she suddenly recognised on of the figures. She ran forwards, not caring about the crowds around-uncertain about who or what was watching. Hugging the male tight around the waist, she wept quietly onto his robes. "Shadoniee?" she whispered.
Don't you dare touch my sister! I hate you, I-I'll never call you my father....I hate you!!!!!!! I love yooh, yes i do......SHADOWWWWW STOP TRYING TO TAKE OVER THE WORLD!!!"
Ignoring everyone and everything around her when the Auror appeared, Gwen sat quietly as she watched her wand appear in his hand."Sir I had no clue that that spell would do that,"Gwen spoke softly as she looked down. "I was merely testing a spell that I read in an ancestors journal," she explained hoping that they would buy it. "But he had nothing to do with it, I'll take full responcibility," she spoke lifting her head as she nodded her head toward Shadow.
She was ready to accept any punnishment for her stupidity. Even though it may cost her her life.
"So please just leave him out of this," she pleaded.

Shadow's eyes flared as the aurors appeared. What the hell is with these people? He snarled slightly at them, still annoyed that he had agreed to move into the light.
The voice that broke his silence was familiar, but lost in his mind. Shadonie? What? He jumped as a small figure ran across from the small gathering of people and hugged his waist. Looking down at the small female he frowned in confusement. Placing a hand on her head he spoke to her softly, "Az? Go home, your not suposed to be here...."
Pulling her off himself he paused, this was not something he wanted her to see. He hadn't seen her since he had started a FFU-she had been so close, yet he had refused to see her. Glaring slightly he pushed her away, turning back to gwen.
She had spoken whilst he had delt with Azreals, he hadn't listened properly-but from what he heard he looked at her closely. Sadness welled in his eyes as he met her red ones, "Gwen, I don't want you to take them alone.......I won't let you..." he whispered to her, audiable only to her. He liked her so much, she was so perfect-if he'd have dared admit it, love was possible. He wasn't about to lose her, when so much of it was his wrong-doing.

Things just got real.
Sometimes, just sometimes: Forbes wished that when he apprehended someone things wouldn't take a turn for the worse, but apparently that was the social milieu around these parts. He hadn't noticed the wizard wearing the grey robes sneak up behind the third young wizard, but he didn't have to be blind to not notice the immediate affects. While he missed the man's skin turn pallor and the rapidly changing eye colors: he did hear the voice and whirled around immediately to face the new foe. He had seen memories that were used as evidence in the Ministry, memories of those scarred by the War of the Shadows, and this man's voice was linked to those memories. He was the one that had caused them after all.
Now completely alert, Forbes motioned for the four men at his back to circle around him: leaving Forbes to stand down the fiend alone. Hearing the patter of small footsteps didn't distract him from the monster before him, but the girl's comment did and he turned his head angrily over his shoulder. "Girl, I've been in this field for 8 years now and I don't take kindly to people who insult my intelligence! That wand in your possession was a 12 1/2 inches, yew, phoenix tail feather: the very same kind that Voldemort once used himself! Coincidence? I think not. Moreno! Take these children back to the Ministry and get to the bottom of this," shouted Julian as he turned his attention back on the dark wizard before him. Tensed to the bone, the man in the Elizabethan garb wanted to be the first one to strike but his training held him rooted to his spot.
He had to let the wizard before him make the move, or else all chances of his survival were seriously limited. "Giuzzi! Find Plutus immediately and let him know that the one who styles himself as The Unknown One is in the Tunnel. I don't think I can defeat him, but I can hold him to this block and keep the civilian causalities at zero," panted Forbes as adrenaline began pumping throughout his veins. His grip on his sword tightened, and he twirled his wand over his head while muttering, "Protego Sanctus!" A shield of white light appeared around the Chief Auror and a faded cross faced outward at The Unknown One. Realizing that their boss meant business, the other Aurors swiftly hurried toward the children and lead them at a brisk run back to the safety of the Ministry Mansion.
Murmuring the "Our Father" under his breath, Julian Forbes' foggy eyes locked onto Unknown's and he announced his challenge. "Toes on the line. Fencers at the ready. Fencers ready?"
"Fence."

Sensing another's presence by way of 'seeing' the Thread which eminates from all beings is one thing; having a feeling, as if a memory-turned-tangible, yanking at your brain was totally different, and Muryllis, though sure until then that such a meeting was impossible, knew there and then what was going on. He spun around almost instantly, at this point completely disregarding Forbes, Plutus, and the three students. Unknown was back; he didn't care how, it was simply the fact that this bastard had returned.
Self-control quickly returned to the Justiciar, and out of the corner of his eye, he could see Forbes organizing Aurors and setting up a magical barricade; though he likely had never personally dealt with The Unknown One, he obviously had a general idea of what to expect. Muryllis, however, was beyond basic reason at this point - the nagging feeling of "someone's gonna die" had returned, and he wasn't about to hold back. He smiled.
"No, Unknown, it wouldn't be fitting for me to dirty my robes; yours would do much better." The wand in his hand turned from its original targets and pointed at himself; at once, the artifact robes Unknown had once made him wear popped out of the enchantment-bound chest in his room in Drakborough and replaced the ones he wore now. The man now stood in the glittering purple raiment, adorned with golden thread and runic designs from ages past (( See signature pic )). The metal wand formed back into its ring shape, for ease of use during combat.
Julian Forbes opted to pray and wait for a first move on Unknown's part; Muryllis unleashed Hell in the blink of an eye.
Within a moment, seven Stupify beams were flying at Unknown at once, followed closely by Murus Flammae, a conjured wall of fire. The Justiciar himself dove into the shadows, reappearing via the Corridor on a nearby rooftop, ready to continue the assault... or not; it had been a while since he'd attempted it, and thus a while since he'd failed - the Corridor was still closed, and until something was done about that, he would have to go about using conventional mobility tactics.
No matter - Muryllis chuckled to himself, and instead stood his ground in this shadow which still gave a sense of protection. Few of his attacks would do anything more than bother Unknown, if he was still anywhere near as powerful as before - but hey, it's the thought that counts.

((For future reference, as Scorpius as stated several times, Shadows Corridors do not and have not worked since the Sword of Shadows vanished in the collapse of the Chamber of Secrets, and will not work again until the Lords of Shadows re-opens them--- hence why the Ministry's anti-disapparation jinxes are so important, for those who have the badges of the Shadow Society cannot get around them just yet.))
"All ways in and out of the Tunnel have been completely sealed, Minister," said a purple-robed witch with a slight Eastern European accent. "All of our Dementors have been called forth and are ready to converge on the scene of the crime when you give the order."
Julius nodded, waving his hand to dismiss the witch. Dementors were particularly useful creatures to use against dark wizards, mostly because of the dark wizards themselves. Wizards who go bad usually do so because of their own personal tragedies. It is and always has been difficult for a dark wizard to conjur a Patronus-- Lord Voldemort and his Death Eaters could not even conjur Patronuses, after all. Yes, useful indeed. But Plutus would not give the order for them to converge upon the criminals; he was positive that Forbes could handle whatever was going down.
At least that was until one of Forbes' men sprinted into the Ministry Mansion.
"I need to see Minister Plutus immediately," cried the wizard, pushing past a clerk as Plutus stood and waved him over. "Sir, we need every damn witch and wizard we can spare to go to Chief Forbes immediately. He says that the Unknown One himself is in the Tunnel."
For the third time ever in his long career, Julius Plutus faltered. His eyes widened and his voice refused to leave his throat. The Unknown One? That bastard serpent-lover that had commanded the forces Count Scorpius had unleashed on the wizarding world in the field of battle? This was very, very bad. Unknown was thought to have been vanquished with Scorpius in the Chamber of Secrets. With a confirmed sighting of a weak-looking Scorpius several weeks ago, and the appearance of the Basilisk King in the Triangle Tunnel itself, Plutus had to wonder whether the old partners were back in business together.
And then the Minister's mind began to work once more as the realization that another war could be looming set in.
Fix the problem before it starts....
"Begin evacuating all civilians in the surrounding blocks and moving them to safe zones. I want all able-bodied wizarding civilians in the vicinity to have their wands at the ready and stand guard at the safe-zones beside our Magical Law Enforcement agents and the Dementors," said Plutus, the office beginning to move even faster to heed his orders. "I don't care what has to be done, but we cannot let this grow out of control. I will have order in this Tunnel, no matter wh-"
The Minister did not finished his sentence, for looking out of a window in the mansion he saw a wall of fire appear several blocks away. Screams of surprise from surrounding witnesses followed, and shopkeepers in nightgowns could be seen placing magical barriers around their windows and merchandise, expecting something big.
"Damn it all. I want an MLE squad of fifteen there immediately," barked the Minister Plenipotentiary. "Begin pouring aurors into the area too."
"What about the Dementors, sir?" inquired a plump-looking wizard with an Italian accent.
"Hold them back for now. Send them in if things get worse," sighed Plutus. "And someone send that fool of a headmaster at Firefox an owl informing him of these developments."
