A few days have passed since she had encountered a girl with thoughts of a rebellion. The rain was falling in a slight drizzle and the purple puffskin was in her tail coat pocket. The weather seemed to reflect the witch's current thoughts. "If I were to join in this plot, the risk of death would be too great. And second a wizarding rebellion was one of the reasons I left Paris anyway," she whispered as she roamed the streets of the tunnel. "And also I have a suspicion that these kids don't even know what the heck they are doing," she shrugged as she stopped next to a street sign. "But it's a bit late to take back my answer," she mumbled as she sat on the street curb.
The rain started to come to an end durning the moments of her contemplation. Was it a sign of a revelation in the half veela's mind, or was it a becon of hope for those wanting to put an end to the ministry. Either way, it seemed as if it was a good sign as a small smile came across Nadine's lips. "Oh well, I don't need this to drag me down," she chirped as she stood up and dusted the rain off of her top hat. "All I need to do is think of the here and now and not what may be," she nodded as she continued on her walk around the Triangle Tunnel.

An attractive man walked down Triangle Tunnel, marveling at the fact that it was raining underground. The rain didn't appear to be bothering him as he strolled the length of the tunnel in his customary slacks, oxford shirt, and suit jacket combo. His black leather shoes were standing up tolerably well to the rain, though they were not quite as shiny as he liked them. His black and white hair hung in a damp ponytail from a drenched silk ribbon.
He passed a young woman wearing a top hat, and would have disregarded her completely except that he heard the word, 'rebellion' drop from her lips. He studied her carefully, noting that she matched the description that Gwen had given him for one Nadine Laurent, who was one of their number in the rebellion.
"Miss Laurent, I presume? A mutual aquaintance informed me of you. Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Ryder Munro. I am with the group that contacted you some days ago."

Stiffing as she heard a male voice speak to her, Naddie turned to face this Ryder character. She relaxed slightly when he mentioned that he was with the group planning on taking down the ministry. "Yes that is me, and it's a pleasure to meet you Monsieur Murno," she spoke in a light French accent. "But may I ask why someone who seems as wise as yourself is with a group that is sure to fall sometime?" she asked politely not wanting to offend the two toned haired male. Placing her hands into the pockets of her tail coat, Nadine grasped gingerly on to her wand and waited for his response.
She really had no real skills in offencive magic and wondered why she was asked to join in this cause. Sure she could produce a perfect patronus, but there had to be more. The only true reason she said yes was so she could see why people would want to take down a government that was trying it's best to protect it's residents. Also she couldn't help but wonder what this man's intentions where concerning the rebellion. What was in it for him? was the only question concerning Ryder that intrigued her.
"So why did you join?" she asked curiously.

"Ah, cutting right to the chase. I see you're a wise young lady. Alright, well I suppose if you've decided to join us, then you have a right to know. The current minister is nothing more than a petty tyrant. While I am sure that there are those in the ministry who are indeed working to serve the public, our dear minister is not one of them. He has allowed a corrupt group, the Black Forest Church, or BFC, to not only ally itself with the Ministry, but to run various departments." Okay, that had been stretching the truth a little, the BFC only ran the Magical Creature Department, but it was a necessary fib, to reassure Nadine.
Ryder continued, "The purpose of the BFC originally was to hunt down and deal with rouge lycans. An admirable goal, to be sure. However, their current leader has decided that only 'dealing with' the rouges is unacceptable. He is now crusading for lycan genocide. Not only that, but the Ministry is requiring all lycans and vampires to register themselves, even if they've never had any sort of problems with wizards before. If we allow this kind of thing to continue, what might be next, registering of muggle-borns? That's what I'm getting out of this. I'm not out to level the government, or to plunge Spain into anarchy. I just think someone more suitable than Plutus could be found to be minister is all."

Nadine stared at the male with wide eyes as he explained what was happening and why they are doing what they are doing. Looking down at the ground, the witch began to feel uneasy with the situation. This is almost exactly what is happening in France, she thought to herself as she held on to her right forearm. "That's terrible, but who is going to be the next minister when Plutus falls?" she asked feeling more curious about this whole rebellion thing. Before stumbling on to this, the French witch was living in a slight denial of the world around her. But it seems now, that she had to put aside her gullibility and think more rationally. A lot was going to be shaped by this, and people were no different.
"So let's say the dementors were to step in and try to rid the world of all of us involved, how many can cast a patronus?" she asked in a hushed tone. "Or at least can protect themselves in some form from them?" she rephrased still leaving the first open to be answered. She remembered that Slytherin girl telling her that Murno was to be the next minister, but she wanted to double check with Ryder.

"I wasn't aware that Plutus was employing dementors, but I should have known. As for your question, We are just now pulling this enterprise together, so I'm still in the process of assesing the skills of our members and teaching those who need it." His next response would require careful handling. He had to seem like he was only accepting the role of minister for the good of the people.
"As for who will replace Plutus, why, I do believe I could do a good job, if I do say so myself. It will be my pleasure to serve the people of Spain as they deserve." He answered in his genteel, courteous manner.

"I can see why. You seem to be very wise and will do what's best for the people," she smiled. "And now that you cleared the fog, I feel a bit more secure about joining this," she spoke calmly. "But how are we to know that the two Slytherin's don't have a hidden agenda that they are hiding from the rest?" she asked referring to Gwen and Shadow. "How can we be sure that they are not just playing with peoples lives like a sick and twisted game of chess?" she asked cautiously. Even though she had spoken to Gwen, she still didn't trust her. But this guy seemed to be more honest and straight forward.
I really shouldn't be jumping to conclusions this quickly in the game. But surely he would understand my skepticism, she told herself as she glanced out of ther corner of her eye for anyone who would suspect them.

Ryder smiled as she brought up Shadow and Gwen. Those two were going to ruin their own plans with their inexperience. "I'll admit that those two show a certain...lack of finesse, and tendency for giving the wrong impression, but if this is to succeed, then we must not start out by suspecting each other. This plan can only move forward if we all trust each other completely. If it turns out that those two do have something up their respective sleeves, then we'll deal with it at that time. I won't let them hurt Spain either." Some people might think him a bit simple for being so straightforward with this girl, how could he trust her not to rat them all out? But one thing the kelpie had learned throughout his centuries of existence was that honesty really was the best policy.

It seemed that he had thought this all out and how to phrase everything perfectly to get her to trust him. And the sad thing was, it was working. "I trust you completely, but those two kids have to work for it," she sighed looking up at him. Nadine decided that now would be a good time to change the subject before anyone started to easedrop. "So Ryder, I've heard that you are the astronomy professor. What is that like?" she asked sweetly. Hell is she was going to trust him, might as well get to know the guy in the process.

He was not put off by her change of subject in the least. He would have done it himself, but he was working on gaining her trust, and that meant answering her every question without switching subjects. He smiled. "It's quite an interesting job. I have good students, and I've always been facinated by the subject. What about yourself? Are you enjoying your stay in Spain?"

"I have to admit that most of the people I've met so far are quite interesting," she smiled closing her eyes. "And there is no need to to be trying so hard to gain my trust. You've earned it with the first words you spoke," she admitted. It was a weird thing about her, she had learned how to get a general feel of people based solely on one word. She had no clue why she had it, but she guessed it was inherited from her father like she had a slightly weaker version of the veela charm from her mother.

Ryder smiled at her. "Yes, well, I like for people to feel comfortable. Speaking of which, there must be some reason you're in Triangle Tunnel. I hope I'm not keeping you from anything. Is there anything I can do for you?" It was true, if there was one thing the kelpie hated, it was people, especially lovely young ladies like Nadine, being uncomfartable.

The two gathered today -failed to consider where they were. It was unwise, always, to discuss matters of secrecy and conspiracy in public areas, and it is even more unwise to do so on the grounds which belong to the target of their conspiracy. Plutus had well stationed guards around the tunnel, and even had set up magical detection devices. And these two, the professor and the witch, were standing in plain sight discussing matters of high treason.
A man who had been standing nearby, dressed in plain robes and reading what appeared to be a newspaper shrugged away into a plainly marked building. Once inside, he headed out the back door, into the back alleys of the tunnel, and traveled along until he reached the ministry headquarters. Once inside, he wrote two notes. One was to Julius Plutus. It said, simply, two named. 'Nadine Laurent' and 'Ryder Munro, Teacher of Divination'. Under that, in all capital letters and bold print, were the words 'CONSPIRATORS MUST BE DEALT WITH'.
The second note was to the one known as Father Bismarck. It, too, had the two names on it, but under the names on this note were the words 'Blasphemers. Heretics. They may attempt to end your life. Pray for them'. At the bottom of this note, the man signed a cross and then, next to it, the letter F.
They would be dealt with later. But, there was the matter of the two slytherins they mentioned... A student led rebellion? The man, †F, smiled at the thought. He would request to up the security around the school, perhaps place guards inside the castle, and ask that Headmaster Windwaltz take his role much more heavily. It would be very bad for the school to have to suffer for the treasons of the students.
†F sent the notes off to their respective recipients, walked to a closet, and changed his plain robes for the robes of the clergy.

"The reason I'm here?" Naddie asked with a small smile. "Here just happened to be the first of many stops while traveling around Europe," she laughed softly. "So you're not keeping me from anything, and no there is nothing I need help with Ryder," she stated softly slightly gazing up at him. "I was planning on working with the ministry, but due to certain events I can no longer do that," she shrugged.

"Really? Why not?" The kelpie was extremely interested to know what could have disuaded Nadine from that. "I mean, sure, there's what we discussed, but like I said before, we're not interested in anything besides making things better for Spain. You could give us valuable information on who's reallydoing their job, and who's not." Whether the rebellion succeeded or not was of little matter to the kelpie. He was only in want of a little distraction, and if they ended up victorious, then all the better. If not, then he'd just put on a different identity and keep his head down, until the dust settled. Mortals were amusingly short of memory.
