OOC: Invite Only...sorta...its kind of a, only certain people allowed thing, so that I avoid people I dont want in here.
Allowed:Sylph and any of her characters, Rezna, Forgoil and any of his characters, Charlotte and any of her characters, Dr. Schmitt, Tristan Pendragon, Professor Hawkins, Luka, Aednat...yup, maybe Ill add more, but not likely. A post would be nice here, its where Roan is losing her memory.
Things with the Society became more and more desperate every single day, and with each person from that vile and hated group that Roan met, she became more and more angry and felt a serious will to defeat them. Day in and day out she trained Aiden and Song in their powers and in flight, learning herself how to control them in case of a dangerous situation. She poured over books in the library for new spells that could aid her, new things that would help their school survive the coming onslaught that was going to approach their door any time now without warning. People around her would have been able to see it, she was very tired and very desperate these days, blowing off her classes and her homework and her Prefects duties, and everything else. She wore herself to the bone trying to come up with a plan to help them. But nothing seemed to work at all, and Roan didnt know what to do with this, didnt know how she was going to help. She felt useless, like nothing she did was going to be good enough.
It was midmorning on a Saturday when Roan Aliagh and her two dragons, Aiden and Song, slipped into a room in the Dungeons. The girl bore a pack on her back and let that slide down to the stone floor. Inside were all her alchemy materials, everything she used to make her dragons and bring them into this world for their purposes. The more desperate things became, the more she considered making more dragons, stronger ones. Ones that would be able to protect the school without having to be connected to a student to do so, without being pledged t someone. It was pheasable, right? All she had to do was repeat the experiment she had done twice already before. It was engrained in her mind what she had to do, and it was like just taking steps and walking through it. Several dragons were supposed to exit the dungeon that morning, and Roan would take them right up to Talon and show him what she had created, and hope that he didnt take her up for criminal charges for what she had done with this. Because the school needed every bit of help it could get in this coming storm. Roan didnt care if Talon would do that though, it wasnt like he could do anything to stop her at this point.
The girl let her dragons curl up in the corners of the room like cats in the shadows, after Aiden flew around and lit the candles on the walls. Roan drew out the mixture of flammable liquid and blood that she had made for her circles and walked the alchemy circles like she had before, memories springing back into her mind. None of them were all that good, and she had deep scars on her palms from them. But still, she remembered. The circles had to be in perfect proportion, and when Roan finished walking them, they were. The black gooey mixture was set on the stone, and all that needed to be placed in the center was the materials. The first dragon was to be made of gold, and these shouldnt take much time. Putting her emotions and memories into another creature became easier after you remembered them a few times. Each material went into the center and Roan knelt down in front of the two large circles in the room. She was wearing her normal black robes with no sleeves, her brown locks pinned up against her head to keep them out of her way, though a few framed her face. Her hands were bare of their bandages that usually went over the scars.
Gently Roan beckoned to Aiden who perked his head up. She placed her hands down on the circle and closed her eyes, taking a deep breath and entering her magic. The copper dragon blew a bit of flame on both the circles, lighting them so that it danced around the mixture, and over Roan's hands. He gave a dragon grin and went back to sleep with his sister in the corner as his mistress went about her usual work, trying to shape a creature out of metal of the earth. The first part was easy for Roan, she knew how to do detail in a dragon by now. Each scale was carefully and truley refined, given each bit of magical resistance that the others had been give. The head and wings were shaped, a bit more crudely then Aiden and Song and their counterparts, but magestic all the same. She spent maybe a half hour working on all the muscles and organs and such, sitting there while the circles kept burning with flame, her hands in it. That part was easy, and so should have been the next part. But you can only tempt nature and life so many times, it was like playing with fire. Eventually, you were going to get burned.
She started to put memories and emotions into the creature fixed in her mind, drawing them out like threads and watching images flash by her eyes. The room was perfectly quiet, well, that was until Song shifted in her sleep. Her feet stretched out like a cat, and her claws made a loud grating noise on the stone floor, like nails on a chalkboard. It was enough to jolt Roan where she sat, enough to make her mistress lose the concentration and mess up. A mistake that would cost Roan very dearly. One of her hands shifted ever slightly on the circle, and her mind wavered, but that was all it took. The image she held in her mind flickered for a moment, and she almost let go of the magic. Had it been a normal alchemy working, that would have been fine, she would have gotten a statue. But this wasnt normal, this was bringing life to creatures, you couldnt just let go. The magic had been disturbed, and Roan couldnt finish it, but all that emotion and memories and life she had been placing into the dragon couldnt stick. It had nowhere to go then, it was just floating there for a moment and Roan only had a brief split second before it rebounded on her.
All of that powerful magic she had went back onto Roan, and not normally either. It shredded right through her mind, making the girl shriek with a voice that couldnt be heard on the outside. It was like a white hot flame was there, burning so brightly and making everything fade out. The fire on the circles outside rose higher, and woke Aiden up quickly. He noticed what was going on, and that his mistress was losing the magic, and had almost completely lost it. He got up from his spot and bounded over to her, and sunk his teeth into her upper arm, not taking the care he should have, but this was urgent. There was worry in those black eyes. It was enough to tear Roan away, but not before the damage was done. The Hufflepuff was snapped away from the magic, and her mind flashed white one more time before it all faded away slowly. There was a loud booming noise from the room as the circle was broken and the magic done, the gold lying in shambles in the middle of the circle. The loud noise echoed through the Dungeons and up the stairs into the hallway, but Roan didnt hear it, she was long gone.
The fires on the circle died instantly, and Roan fell forward onto the stone floor there, landing on her side. Her hazel eyes with usually burned with a great fire were closed, and her face was pale and there was sweat on her skin, though it was cold. Her hands were bleeding again from where her scar had been reopened by contact with the burning circle, the scarlet stuff also running from the large bite in her upper arm from Aiden's powerful jaw and very sharp teeth. It pooled down by her, staining her skin and the stone below. Her mind was blank, completey blank where she was lying, not a dream passed before those eyes. Aiden let out a roar over this that woke Song from her sleep, and the black dragon also bounded over by Roan. She walked over and began to nuzzle the Hufflepuff's face with her nose, as if trying to get her to re-awaken, with no sucess at all. Song let out a small squeak of dismay and looked at Aiden who was also looking at Roan and trying to get her to wake up. Both dragons were distressed, there was something very obviously wrong with Roan Aliagh, and they couldnt do anything about it by let out small squeaks and nuzzle the girl until someone came.bg
