Ashley walked slowly down the stair case that led to the dark and cold dungeons. She alked curiously down the corridor wondering where it led to. Ashley walked on until she saw a door that was marked with a strange symbol she had never seen before."Wow,"She whispered to herself as she slowly ran her hand across it.She slowly twisted the golden doorknob and stepped inside only to find a feew tables and books. She sat down at one of the tables and thumbed through the books leafy pages after she had closed the door behind her.
Dark, dank, cold, dreary......just a few of the many words that could be used to describe the general atmosphere of the dungeons at this school. Probably any other school too. Zakum reminded himself. It baffled him why a school should have dungeons, after all, he couldn't honestly remember a time he had ever seen them be used for their implied purpose. All they seemed to serve as was a dreadful place to have classes in the winter.
Zakum was brought from his own thoughts rather abruptly at the sight of a student a ways away from him. fortunately, as she had her back turned to him, it was likely he hadn't been spotted yet. She clearly seemed to be focused on something else, thus it made it Zakum's moral responsibility to scare the living daylights out of her. Pointing his wand at his own throat, he softly whispered "Sonorus".
The spell being cast, he slowly snuck towards the girl, unnoticed, until he was directly behind her. Clamping a hand down on her shoulder he spoke only a single word to her, "Boo!", letting the voice projection spell do it's work as his voice boomed out and echoed across the dungeons, hopefully giving the girl a near heart attack.

Ashley jumped. The sudden noise out of the quiet dungeons had scared her."Who are you and why in the name of the Dark Lord did you scare me?"Ashley hated it when people did stupid things like this.
"Quietus", Zakum whispered, pointing his wand at his throat, the spell making even his whisper sound like he were speaking normally.
Still, his little prank had been a smashing success, and he could not repress a slight chuckle that he felt himself entitled to after such a performance. It took him nearly a minute to suppress laughing out loud at her surprise, which probably would have been quite offensive.
Clearing his throat loudly now that he felt a bit more under control, he gave a mock bow as he pocketed his wand, "MY name is Zakum; a seventh year student, although none of it was spent at this school, as I only just transferred from elsewhere." he introduced himself with a grin.
"I must apologize, I think," he continued, never allowing his grin to falter, "I seem to have given you a bit of a fright. Still, I'd like to ask your name and perhaps to be informed as to what you happened to be doing down in the dungeons?" Conveniantly 'forgetting' to answer her second question.

"My name is Ashley Dark.I am only a third year but I only just transferred and was soretd to Slytherin.I have been attending Beuxbaton school of Magic."Ashley introduced herself as she looked at the boy,"I am in he dungeons because there is no where else to be and no where I see fit for me to think or stay."Ashley looked at the door once moer and steppd inside leaving Zakum out in the corridor.
"What reason do you have for being in the dungeons,"Ashley asked curiously,"Adn why have you decided to scare me instead of some Gryffindor in the OOTP?"Ashley was a Death eater and proud of ti. She had beat many wizards and witches way beyond her age and skill in dueling.
"What reasons? Hmmmmmmm, I don't think reason has anything to do with it when it comes to the area of practical jokes but I guess I'll give it a shot." he said, puzzled by her apparent aversion to providing any useful information to answer his questions.
"Well, you see, I can honestly say I am not at all against pranking any student, disregarding any associated house. After all, I like to keep an open mind." he said with a smirk, seeing if he could irk her anymore than she probably already was.

Ashley sat down at a small table and flipped through a book. She stared at the pages and didnt say anything. She looked at the boy curiously and turned back around.
"The 'ol cold shoulder, eh?" Zakum said pleasantly, still keeping his conversational tone, "Well then, I guess two can play at that game." Putting on a very exaggerated and very unconvincing scowl, he feigned a glare at the girl once more before turning his back to her.
Wandering through the halls of the enormous school, Muryllis gazed in awe at the paintings, most of which contained napping figures. He listened intently to the quiet snores; This living paintings never fail to amaze, he thought, hearing the distant chattering of two damsels at a tea party. Then, something happened that was out of place, even though it seemed as though the woman on the left had said it. "Boo?" said Muryllis, utterly confused, then heard laughing coming from that direction - boy's laughing.
Then he spotted a door under the painting, slightly open. He headed for it, gripping his wand inside his robe pocket. He walked inside, seeing that this door lead to stairs, obviously headed for the dungeons. He pulled out his wand, thinking the word Lumos, and watched as the brilliant glare at the wand's tip quickly dimmed down to nothing more than a night light. He walked through the halls, going toward the sound of talking taking place in one of the rooms. He saw another door, not unlike the first one, except that it was marked in some fiendish way. Non est signum rubrum, non est pestilentia he joked, opening the door. He looked in, noticing two figured among the tables and books, and quickly thought Nox, hoping the light went out before the figures noticed him...
OOC: All right, since the person I was posting with seems to have deleted her character, I think it would be appropriate to say she is effectively out of this thread, so I suppose we should just ignore her and pretend that we have left her to her own.
IC: Still facing away from Ashley, Zakum thought he caught a flicker of something, perhaps a wand of candle of some sort, yet as soon as the vision had flickered into his peripheral vision, it was gone again. Ghah, I'm far too young to be losing my mind completely, he thought, shaking his head for a moment to clear his thoughts. Perhaps he was suffering from a bit of a lack of sleep caused by late nights of, er, 'studying'; which everyone knew involved a lot of sneaking around and no small amount of dungbombs, yet that was a different story entirely for a different time.
Shrugging his shoulders and deciding to leave his new, rather unpleasantly mannered acquaintance behind to do whatever it was she felt she need do at such an odd place and time and began to make his way towards the exit. Hopefully, if he were lucky, there would still be plenty of first years up and about; a thought that, of course cheered up Zakum greatly.
IC: Rats, someone was coming right for him.. so the light had been seen after all! Now he had two choices: come out to greet the figure, hoping it wasn't a nasty teacher who would take throw Ravenclaw's points into the negatives, or pad back into the dark hall, hiding in a room. The first seemed exceptionally risky; what if the Nosferatu, evil beings of whom he had heard, had infiltrated the castle? He'd die a horrible death.. Run for it, you idiot!! said his inner voice (or his intelligence, or his insanity; he had yet to determine the source), and so he ran back out of the doorjamb, only to step on his long, flowing robes. A single "Crap" escaped his mouth as he fell onto his back. He was done for... his life flashed before him, his family and Nostri Magi friends, and her remembered the spell he was still practicing (the knight was still under siege up in the castle (OOC: check the thread, you'll love it), but he might be able to...
"EXPELLIARMUS!!" he yelled, realizing a split second later that you can't really disarm a Nosfaratu of his teeth.
Then he realized that the spell had, again, backfired. Feeling himself fly backward and land on his face, he felt beyond doomed...

One moment Zakum has been walking along to do his self-assigned job, the next he was under attack by unknown assailants. "EXPELLIARMUS!" he heard shouted from a location he couldn't quite discern the source of.
Now, Zakum was by no means the bravest of students, yet when a crisis arose, he knew exactly what to do, and reacted accordingly. "Pleasedonthurtme pleasedonthurtme pleasedonthurtme," he said over and over again after having taken less that three seconds to hit the dirt.
After a few minutes, Zakum concluded that, based on the fact that he was not in a million pieces across the floor, his assailant either had decided to spare him or had simply moved off without much regard to him at all; Zakum decided it was safe to finally move again and scope out the damage.
It took him only a short while to find another student lying face-first on the ground. Clearly whoever had attacked him had already come by here. Hurrying over to his side, he knelt down and poked him in the shoulder with the tip of his wand, "Hey, you all right? Gotta be careful, there's a dangerous person who's somehow gotten into the castle. Best to stick together to avoid harm. Got your wand at hand?"
His head swam. Oooooh god... Then it felt like it was going to break open, spilling his brains over the cold stone floor. "OOOOWY OW.. I want my brains back!!" he screamed as he staggered up, clutching his head.
He saw a figure appear, hazy at first. It was human, so it wasn't a lycan. It wasn't palid, so it couldn't be a Nosferatu. Then he heard it speak, thankfully using a distinctly human voice.
Careful, there's a dangerous Person who's somehow gotten into the castle. Best to stick together to avoid harm. Got your wand at hand?
"Huh? Wa.. wand.. " Damn... where did his wand go?? Something had gone wrong; he remembered hearing a shout, then blackness. His brain back in order (though his skull could surely use a few staple to be kept intact), he tried to remember a spell... "Aah, there we go," and his wand glowed somewhere in the darkness, near a wall. It was then that he digested what the human had said, that there was an enemy in their midst. He turned around, feeling a sharp pain in his neck as he saw a Slytherin boy standing there, bewildered, wand ready. Content that his back was protected, he knelt down to pick up his wand, watching as the glow died down when he did. "We need to get out of here," he said, "It's probably a Nosferatu or a lycan.. do you realize how dead we will be when they find us? Quick, what's the charm of silence? I can't seem to remember it, and we need it, NOW."
First it had been the spell the Slytherin boy cast to make his voice louder to shake Roan from her doze in the library. She had passed it off and went back to the book she had been reading. But then there was something troubling her deeply that someone had used that spell in the dungeons. And from the word shouted, probably some student up to a prank. She debated for a long while whether to go down into the dungeons and check it out or just mind her own business. But then the girl just gave a sigh and pushed her chair out from where it was, abandoning her book in favor of duty. Students werent supposed to be out this late, including her, but that had never stopped her at Magic Horizons, why should it now? Following her instinct, the 'Puff headed down to the dungeons with a sigh.
When she was within earshot of the dungeons, she faintly heard more spells being fired, disarming spells. This was no harmless prank anymore, someone was shooting at each other. Roan set off at a run down flights of stairs, keeping her wand out in front of her with a light spell coming from it. She was wearing her school robes, and brown locks flew behind her as well as she rounded corners, worry on her face. Why would two people be shooting disarming spells at each other? Was there a fight going on? Didnt I escape this when I left the old school. She thought grumpily, grumbling as she headed in that direction again. Finally she found the people she was looking for.
Two students, just two students. But the question was, what were these two doing in the dungeons at night, and what the heck was going on? Questions she had intentions of getting answers to. Ignoring the fact that one of the boys seemed panicked, a scowl formed on Roan's face and she put one hand on her hip, the image of an angry teenage girl. "You both have two seconds to tell me what you are doing here late at night when students are supposed to be in bed, what the heck you were doing shooting off spells, and what the heck was going through your minds, before I haul you before a teacher." She asked angrily, hazel eyes flashing between the two, waiting for a good explination. "Also, names and houses please"
If this is to end in fire Then we shall all burn together Watch the flames climb high into the night
"You both have two seconds to tell me what you are doing here late at night when students are supposed to be in bed, what the heck you were doing shooting off spells, and what the heck was going through your minds, before I haul you before a teacher." Was all it took to get Zakum to leap back to his feet, his courage once more flaring within himself.
After all, it wasn't some great demon from the abyss or anything even remotely close to that nature. His mystery assailant had just turned out to be a regular human girl; a student, by his guess, perhaps even a prefect based on her desire to know both names and houses, which was typically not a good sign.
Making sure he had Muryllis between himself and Roan (to cover his back, of course, and in no way related to cowardice), he aimed his wand over his fellow student's shoulder and pointed it at their new enemy, "You may have gotten the drop on us once, yet it is still two against one. I would highly advise against pressing your attack further unless you wish for us to retaliate!"
