(Don't worry people can still make Opposite day treads.)
Malachy had been sitting in the Slytherin common room. All the others had left Having found something to do But Malachy stayed behind. and now that he had time to think his mind wander to what had happened about this time the other day. Morgan had been all over him in such a disgusting manner that Malachy was having a hard time keeping himself from attacking her. He thought in silence and gradually his thoughts began to change.
It wasn't like I don't like her, she is a good looking young woman. Maybe he should give her another chance. Then as he thought on that he remember ed what had all gone on. And suddenly his actions seemed horribly horribly wrong. Why the hell had he turned her down it would have been perfect. He had to go to her and apologize.
He got up and left the common room in a rush, and as he reached the the steps his foot slipped on something he looked down. "Sning what are you doing on the floor?" He asked picking up the little silver snake and letting it wrap around his finger. The rest of the castle was turning to normal so Sning had come back to his master.
Malachy walked up from the dungeon to the main floor and made his way to the Library in hopes that he would find the Ravenclaw prefect there.

Indeed, the Ravenclaw prefect was in there, trying to hide somewhat from everyone, but especially from a certain Slytherin boy, whom she'd thrown herself on yesterday, under the effects of the concotion she'd bumbled. Luckily, she'd not done too much damage, but she'd been appalled at how revealingly she'd dressed, and the way she'd been so forward with him. She liked him, sure, but she shouldn't have so open about it.
As though she were making up for yesterday's show of skin, today, Morgan was dressed modestly, her favorite pair of Dark indigo, lace-trimmed jeans on her legs, her torso encased in a long sleeved, white button down, and a dark blue stweater tied around her waist. Her feet were shod in blue, silk ballet flats that were the same color as her sewater. She'd hid herself behind an enormous stack of books, research for her questioning of BFC officials, and study materials for the ever-looming O.W.L.s.
Malachy Had to look around a bit, but eventually found out that there was someone behind the Large stack of books, and it was the person he was looking for. He Walked up to her and could see that she was distracted. She was dressed very different now, but he remember her for what she was so he didn't need her to show so much skin. He sat at ton the bench of the table right behind her and watched her for a few moments, thing of what he should say and how he should say it.
When he finally got it all together he spoke. "Morgan? I'm sorry for being so rude to you yesterday." His voice was an audible whisper. and it sounded as if it expected some kind of rejection.

He was sorry for being rude to her? She was the one who should be apologizing. She'd showed none of her usual self restraint. However, either some of the potion lingered, or else, she'd sub-conciously enjoyed being uninhibited, but she barely mastered the impulse to embrace the boy for being so sweet as to thinking he'd have to apologize.
She di however, face the boy, her face not exactly happy, but neither was it covered with the hopeless dread with which she'd thought of this meeting either. "I'm the one who should be apologizing. I'm sorry Malachy, everything I did was out of line," she said in a small voice. She hoped that this meeting wouldn't lead to him rejecting her out of hand. She really did have a small crush on him. Whatever it was that made her want to embrace him, made her say, "But, I really do like you." before she could stop herself. She cringed at her forwardness. "I mean, that is.." she trailed off, for once she had nothing to say.
Malachy smiled as she responded and enjoyed her embrace. He admitted that she really did have feeling for him and seemed to be embarrasses to have even mentioned it. Just as as her words died away he had intended to interrupt her, in away that would both surprise her and let her know that he wasn't going to reject her. He pulled her close and kissed her just that the point that she was at a loss for words. It was probably a bit forward but he wonaded her to know she didn't have to be so nervous, that everything was fine.
"You're not to bad yourself you know." He said after he stopping and looking into her eyes.

Morgan had no words. A boy had kissed her. Now, this was not her first kiss, it was still unusual enough to through her off. And this was so different from her first kiss, she'd been half-expecting that one. This one had come from out of the blue. The prefect blinked rapidly, as if to assure herself that she wasn't dreaming. Then, before her cheeks could turn as red as her eyes, the uninhibited side of her started acting up again.
"You know, you owe me a date now," she smirked. Her cautious, reserved, careful self was practically in an uproar that she could joke after being kissed. The correct and appropriate response was to run away. "You know, Malachy, there's something I have to tell you. Yesterday was my fault. I..uh...I had a little trouble with a potion I was making," she said sheepishly.
"Oh I don't think a date will be problem. And I suspected something was wrong now that I look back at other events of the day." He said just as he remember 'hugging Shadow' that was not going to end well. Bujt he's cross that bridge when he came to it. Now he had a much nice path to tread.
His smile widened as he realized something. "Morgan, thank you for making the mistake. If you hadn't I never even would have guessed that you liked me in that way. So don't dilute yourself into thinking it was completely a bad thing. Your too smart for that, your prefect badge, your house shield, and I'm pretty sure Sning, all say so." He said happily.

The sensible part of Morgan, the side of her pleading for her to flee this situation, was getting weaker. 'You know' whispered the inner voice, 'You don't have the best track record when it comes to guys. Mury ignored you, Lucre was in love with someone else, and Vic left without even a goodbye.'
And for once in her life, Morgan ignored that little voice. This was different. Malachy was clearly not ignoring her, nor did he seem to be in love with anyone else. As far as leaving her without a word, only time would tell, but Morgan decided she was betting on a better outcome.
"Well then, maybe I should make mistakes more often. I mean, if you're the reward for my mistake, I should have done that long ago. Perhaps I'm too smart for my own good," she laughed. She really was happy. No matter how bad yesterday's blunder had been, it was most definitely worth it.
"Malachy like this side of her. But He did like the old Morgan. "Worth it indeed. But don't let those mistakes happen on your owls." He said Remember that the Fifth year exams where coming up he had his own N.E.W.T.s to think about, but he had time for extracurricular activities.
"You know this book fortress here makes this a good spot for this." He said as he wrapped he hands around her and pulled her in for another kiss. He didn't need to, and it was probably a little much, but It wasn't like anyone could see over her books.

"Yes, sir," she said, with a mock military air. "I will not be making any mistakes on my exams." she smiled, a bit more shy than she had been before. She didn't know what else to say (what did one say to a boy who you liked, and who liked you back?), and so, she stared at her hands for a bit, noting that the polish was a little chipped. She'd have to fix that.
"You know this book fortress here makes this a good spot for this."
She looked up at him, but before she could utter a single question, he'd kissed her again. If he kept doing that, she might get used to it. "I..uh..I think that I may have to stay away from you if I want to study. Suddenly, I'm tempted to forget all about books in favor of something else." She luaghed quietly, not forgetting that they were in the library.
Malachy was so tempted to let her forget the books for something more. But he knew better. "I could always get interested in what your reading, Or I could leave and let you concentrate." He'd probably stay anyway.
Malachy felt Sning squeeze his finger and then felt something Bush against his leg. He looked down and noticed the Large black Python that Ruusu had let him keep after they accepted that they would no longer be together. "Oh You had a few animals of your own and I don't think you've met my snake." He meant for her to take it the wrong way at first. He picked the snake up by the neck coils and lifted him to his lap. "Morgan meet Rotu, Rotu Meet Morgan." Hopefully the snake wouldn't be jealous for Ruusu or things could get ugly.

He wouldn't!
Morgan blanched a bit before she realized the snake he meant was in fact a black python. Then, she blushed for even thinking Malachy would be that crude. She addressed the snake first, both out of politeness, and to give her some time to get comfortable with saying anything to Malachy.
"Hello, Rotu," she said in parseltongue. "I hope he's been treating you well. You are definately a gorgeous creature. You let me know if he's not taking proper care of you, and I'll fix it for you." She petted the top of the snake's head, and gave him a quick scratch under the chin.
"He's beautiful. Where'd you get him?" she asked appreciatively. Once again she was struck by the similarity of appearance between her and Malachy. Both of them were pale, with fair hair and reddish eyes. Sure, her hair was platinum blonde instead of pure white, and her eyes a different shade (more amber) of red, but still, they looked related.
She knew that some great-great-great Ancestress was a Black, but that couldn't nearly account for it, could it? She knew from portraits at home that she was the spitting image of Lady A'graine, also known as Igraine the Fair. The only difference was that The Lady's eyes were a clear green color, (it was rumoured that her mother was one of the faerie folk).
But what was she thinking about The Lady now for? Was her mind wandering in an attempt to deal with emotions or shock? Morgan was not familiar with the social conventions of dating, never having been on a real date, and having had very little experience around guys in this capacity in general. Normally, when she was around guys, she thought of them as teammates, friends, surrogate brothers. This was different, and Morgan was unsure she liked it.
This too was a distraction, a wandering line of thought that didn't belong here. In classic Ravenclaw style, she was over-analyzing the situation. Keep it simple, she thought to herself. You like him, he likes you. That's all that matters at this point. Don't screw it up. Thus prepared, she stared into Malachy's eyes, "I'd just like to ask that we take this slow. I don't have much experience with...uh..with this kind of thing."
"Thank you, Miss Pendragon I'll remember the offer." The large serpent replied. Rotu could tell what was going on. And though he still had a place in his Heart for his former master he would not force his new one to dwell on Ruusu. Besides it wasn't a snakes place to intrude on human affairs.
Malachy had to think a moment for responding he knew that saying his former girlfriend had Given him the snake would not be the most faithful response. "I good friend of allowed me to keep him as a parting gift, when they left this school for another." he said semi distractedly.
He looked down at Rotu seeing the contrast in color between his scales and both his and Morgan's skin. He hadn't really thought about it, but she had a similar coloring to his own. Their where slight differences but they weren't much. Only part of him wondered if she was related, like him and, and half the other pure-bloods he knew, to the Blacks. If so she had to be an extremely extended family member, and in all reality it wouldn't matter if they where related 5 or six generations back.
He heard her request to take the relation ship slowly, and he understood. He wouldn't try to make her feel uncomfortable. "We can go slowly, and if you feel uncomfortable let me know alright?" He said putting and arm on her shoulder. Rotu had climbed his way up and was now coiled across both their laps.

Morgan was content. For once in her life, the little nagging thoughts and pressures that there was somthing she ought to be doing didn't bother her. instead, she felt a kind of peace she'd never had before. Sure, she was still a little nervous that she'd say or do something wrong, and that this feeling would go away, but it seemed that, for the moment at least, she had nothing in the world to worry about.
"Thank you, for respecting that. I'm sure someone like you has had at least one serious girlfriend, so I appreciate that you'd do that. Anyway, I'm sorry to hear that your friend had to leave." She slowly put her head on his shoulder, and found that he smelled good. "I'll let you know if I get uncomfortable, but at the moment, I'm quite comfortable indeed."
He smiled as he felt her head lean on his shoulder, and tilted his head to meat hers and rest his cheek on the top of her head. This was definitely different from his last relation ship, as the other seemed to go fater but this would be a nice change of pace."So am I." He said in response.
(Sorry it's so short we could end it if you wanted)
