It was after dinner, and most students would be retiring to Common Rooms and the library, or perhaps the grounds. Morgan was atop Raven wood tower, laying on her back, and watching Mondleid fly. He really was a pretty bird. She wondered about the information she'd been gathering for the last couple of days. It led to one inevitable conclusion. She could not bring down the ministry all by herself. And, the creatures she was think of asking to help, might see her as a meal more than as an ally.
Her blonde head rested against the side of a large, wolfish-looking dog, and her rabbit was sitting on her stomach, keeping her warm. Teej's dog, Will was with them too, as Morgan had adopted him after his owner had gone comatose. She dared not spend too much time with the little creature, as she feared he mat reveal his ability to speak if he spoke to her too much, but they were basically alone, so Morgan was using all of the animals as sounding boards, and while Mondleid and Cazadora were being serious about it, Asher and Will kept making jokes.
Suddenly, Asher's ears swiveled toward the door. Someone's coming he warned.
Dora sniffed the air, Human, but I can't tell much else. Sort of smells like that red haired girl from the library, but it's not her.
Morgan gave a mental acknowledgement, and thanks to her familiars, and remained impeturbed.

((Sorry I took so long!))
Life was for once cruel to Felix. A friend was lost, maybe forever. A hope of a friendship, a band of brothers who would fight for the same cause and have fun forever, gone without hope. At least Gwen and Shadow weren’t trying to kill him and use him like a puppet to blow up anything. TJ, who Felix missed dearly, also so close yet so far away. Toby hadn’t completely ditched Felix like Silvain had, yet still he made it clear how much of an idiot he though Felix was being. Malachy was still here, even thought he hadn’t seen him in a while, and he wasn’t much of a friend seeing how much older he was. Xander, never came back. Everyone was away, or distant to Felix, for once he felt alone.
His normal burst of energy he would get from the many pile of books stacked within the Library, only acted like a large pillow after being so bored with research, desperately trying to figure out how the conversion of sound waves to radio wa- he was too tired to think about such theories now. After he had woken with a start as a fellow student had slammed a pile of books near the slumbering Gryffindor he realized how hungry he had gotten. Dumping his large pile of books into his bag, for later studying, Felix lugged them the long trek to the Feasting Hall.
Ham, peas, fresh biscuits with butter, yams, and orange ice cream had never tasted so dull to the normally energy filled kid. All he wanted to do was lie down somewhere and think. Look up at the stars; see if solar systems and giant suns eons away would give him some inspiration from were they orbited from outer space. They would probably make him looked small and insignificant from earth but he had made his mind up to watch them twinkle.
After finally bewitching his backpack to carry it’s self, Felix actually caught a ride on his large pile of books as they made their wild journey up all the stairs. They put a smile on his face and almost gave him joy, reminding him of such fun roller coasters he had been on, and also Shakira. Shakira. His flying wolf he so sadly lost. Pushing the thought from his mind, hoping that happiness would return Felix looked at the door to the roof of the tallest tower in the tallest castle. Pausing Felix pushed open the unlatched door.
Felix didn’t see a thing, his eyes had yet to adjust so he just looked up to the empty heavens. The stars were so beautiful, they put a smile on his face finally as they winked at him. The moon, planets, constellations, sun, stars, galaxies, universes, flying large eagletrosses? Shocked at the large bird flying around the sky, he had seen him before, but who’s? Morgan’s! Looking down at the ground he saw Morgan’s face, pale against the stone. She had been lying on her back looking at the stars. Behind her was a wolf. He had never seen the wolf before, maybe she just got him? Her rabbit on her lap and a dog, TJ’s dog.
Still shocked, even though he was thinking strait he couldn’t say anything out of surprise of seeing her, or not in this case.

It's the little Gryffindor boy you don't like, said Mondleid, remembering their last meeting in this tower. do you want me to airlift you out again?
No. I'll be fine. Now, go hunt. I'll call you if I need you
The eagletross flapped away, and Morgan had the seeds of an idea. Felix was a Gryffindor, therefore he was brave and reckless in the defence of others, hardly caring for his own safety, right? Perhaps she could convince him to ask the nosferatu for their support.
Not that she planned on asking him outright. She did know how to be subtle when it was required. "Hello Felix. How can I help you?" She asked, not looking at him, nor changing her position. Orion was particularly clear tonight, and betelguese twinkled redly. The prefect pushed Will gently, and he trotted over to sit by Dora. She patted the ground beside her in a welcoming gesture. "Take a seat," she suggested.

Shocked at the friendliness of the Prefect, Felix took her offer. Dumping his bag by the door he walked the long walk across the stone floor, shoes clinking as they went, and sat down next to Morgan, yet still far away enough. Felix saw some plot forming in Morgan’s face. He could always read people yet he rarely paid attention to the warnings. If someone had a scheme great enough to have it pasted on their face, they’re would be adventure waiting behind a corner somewhere, if not here on a circular tower, without such corners, literally.
“Hello Morgan, I was just, I wanted to look up at the stars. See someone beat me to it though, mind if I join you?” Looking around Felix had forgotten that she had already offered. “Sorry, forget that.”
The young Gryffindor remembered that he had wanted to talk to Morgan. It was his ‘Plan C’ with his bugging devices, but he had quickly moved to ‘Plan D’ and so forth after seeing that he had no way of finding or requesting Morgan to meet him. Seeing his chance yet not wanting to just ask he decided to achieve other objectives.
“Someone told me that you’re asking everyone questions about BFC and stuff. I probably should get the same interviews going yet, well, I just haven’t. All this stuff about past Wars with Shadows or whatever, all the History that I sadly was too young ta’ take part in, seems to be wanted to be forgotten in ev’ry book, they it’s still fresh in people minds like it ‘appened yesterday.” Pausing for a second to glair up at the stars to see one particular one wink back at him. “Is there any way, Morgan, that you would be able to give me any hint on who to talk ta’? I’ve been most recent in this history; it’s only fair that someone tells me theirs. You could tell me, but something tells me that you won’t. I need to know!”

Morgan smiled a bit as he blustered and bumbled. It was nice to see he wasn't always such a wunderkind. However, his comments and questions as he sat made her nervous, and a little upset. Who had told him? Who had slipped? Had Ashelle, or Gwen, or Shadow, or (and she hated to think it) Malachy let something slip? Her expression turned angry and she pulled herself up. Felix was involved in this mess to, so it wasn't a big slip, but if he had heard about her poking around, then someone else might too, someone on the opposing team.
However, he did have a right to know. He was far more involved in this mess than she. And if she was going to ask him to do what she wanted to ask him, he deserved a little information first. "Shhhhhhhhh!" she cautioned. "Have you no sense? What if someone were to overhear us. Please do no speak again until I say so." She sent Asher out the door and down the stairs a bit to warn them of an approach. Mondleid was disrupted in his hunting to circle the tower, to watch the bridge and to secure them from being snuck up on from an arial source. Dora took up a post by the door, which had been secured threefold by Alohomora, Muffliato, and an Impeturbable Charm.
"Now, Felix, if I hear a suggestion of a whisper of a rumor about what I am about to say to you, I will hold you personally responsible, and will hex you with every curse I know. And I'm a Ravenclaw, so I know a lot." She knew scare tactics weren't strictly a neccesity in this situation, but she was tired, stressed, and she really didn't like this guy. She fixed him with an intense amber gaze. "Got it?"
Without waiting for a response, she launched into a summary of her interviews with Ashelle, Gwen and Shadow. ((I assume you've read them. If not tell me, and I'll PM you the links)) "Now, Malachy's doing recon for me too," she explained. "He's going to get an internship at the Ministry, and help me gather information on that end. What I really need now is resistance help. People who want to reform the Ministry, but not get rid of it completely. I mean, the BFC itself has got to go. It's simply too corrupted to do anything at this point but scrap it. However, I think with the right minister, the Ministry of Magic could do a lot of good in Spain."
She paused a bit, not sure how to go on with her next idea. "The problem is, Felix, I don't know who to ask for help, Ashelle is too emotional about this whole thing, and Gwen and Shadow have entirely the wrong goals. They want to rebel so they can have their names in lights, so they can be remembered. I need more than mere students anyway, I need people with power. I...uh...I'm thinking of asking the...um...the Nosferatu, the Vampires, the Nephilim and the Faerie. I mean, if we show them what the lycans are suffering, and suggest it could be their kind next, I think it could work. What do you think?"

Morgan’s response wasn’t one that Felix had expected. She started to have a small fit about how much he knew. She obviously thought that one of her sources had leaked or that her precious magical spells weren’t working. The former was slightly true and the latter soon to be so. Just ready to say his rebuttal, Morgan told him to be quiet while she secured the area. He should have known better then to forget to do such.
Morgan assumed that somehow all this information would slip from his lips. He was one to hear whispers and rumors better then others, yet he was never one to spread information that he had been trusted with. Information was so valuable to the nosey Gryffindor, keeping it like hidden golden treasure. Morgan’s threats of the caravan of jinxes, curses, hexes and other nasty magical doings were more then Felix needed to have the motivation to keep his mouth shut.
“Yup, not a single peep is coming out of my mouth anytime soon Morgan, I give ya’ my word. Don’t worry, the ‘Someone who told me’ is more like me sticking a bunch of pieces ta’gether and coming up with a theory, I’m lucky I’m right.”
((All the spoken grammatical mistakes are on purpose, don’t kill me! jk))
Morgan didn’t seem to care about what he thought for she launched into all her tales of all the interviews she had done with everyone. Felix listened intently, soaking up everything like a giant sponge that had been left in a desert filled with dehydrators. All the information flooded into his brain like the great Deluge. After Morgan paused with all the stories, Felix had to take a second to finish processing it. So many theories proved both ways. Many kicked right out the window, but other finally seemed to fit like a giant puzzle. His brain was so full of new news that he was resorting to think in cheesy analogies.
((XP I read them already, thanks, I think I got all of them. If not, I will.))
“Couple things, I spoke to Gwen, she convinced me that she is done with the whole rebellion thing and that she don't want to spend the rest of her life stuck in prison. She has decided to keep away from Shadow for the time being and that she is going to start a Prank War against him and other ex-rebellion members. She has stopped carrying her wand around, amazingly and stupidly enough, and is through with da’ dark arts. So she says. I'd believe her. Another thing, about the Ministry, Reka Ahina, search ‘er up, I spoke to her after my trial, she doesn’t like the secrecy and deception o’ da’ Ministry, she despised the BFC, if you don’t mind my abbreviating it, apparently she’s an highly respected Auror and she ‘as connections from what I can tell. About the BFC, you said Ashley told you about the three branches, yeah, pretty much. The Priest, henchmen and thugs more like it, are mad an’ insane, following no rules what so ever except ‘Father Bismarch’ as they call ‘em. Bismarch is extremely sane, organized, impressive and dangerously evil. He his greatly respected by da’ Priest from what I can gather. He, though, must obey all that the Minister says and he does. The Minister has no trouble in giving him command over things and trust him apparently. I know that we can use this to our advantage. Back to the Ministry, they’re a lot of perfectly good Aurors and Ministry people who are great influences who probably have know idea what’s going on. They carry out the Ministers orders, stop residences like Shadow and Gwen an’ do what they’re told. They all know ‘bout the BFC but they do nothin’ to stop it but avoid it, like Reka said. By the way, the BFC noted that they are trying to catch Ashley and Marc and that’s why they were on Firefox’s grounds when they cause me an’ Shadow. Right, so we don’t need to blow da’ whole thing up at all, just knock some sense inta’ them and cut off they’re nasty arms that’re evil like the BFC!”
Pausing for a second, Felix thought if they’re was anything else. He knew they’re was more, yet he could not remember at the moment. Remembering Morgan last statement he tried to bring it back up. He knew what Morgan was getting at, he just hoped she wasn’t.
“Nosferatu, Vampires, an’ Nephilim, oh my! I know that basically all the fairy tales are sorta true in da’ wizarding world, but your talking about half dead spirits that stick to the shadows that are never seen that suck da’ unfortunate muggle or wizards blood who happened to cross their path. Aren’t they few and far between half myths of crazy witches and wizards who’s spells went bad? Nothing in our Library don’t touch on them much, ‘cept to say what they are. Are they really organized groups of them out there, like da’ Lycan’s?”
((I said enough, I’ll wait for you to respond then…))

Was he drunk? His speech was sort of slurred, and strange sounding. Was this even really Felix? Morgan wasn't sure, unless his time in prison had left him with a speech impediment. However, Dora assured her that this was indeed Felix. Well, no matter, however he sounded, it was more important that she have an ally. She could berate him for his ridiculous sounding speech later. This was more important.
"Look, I know there's a house full of them, Vamps, Nosferatu, and Nephilim outside of Drakborough somewhere. I just think we could find someone to send over there and talk to them. "
Post by Felix I. Genero on Feb 11, 2008 11:39:17 GMT -5
((It wasn't that bad. Anyway, it's not suppose to be a slur or an impediment but more of a brogue or an accent.))
Felix saw Morgan looking at him funny, as if his nose was turning green. He realized that he must have started to slip into his slang accent brogue that he only used when he wasn't paying attention to what he was saying. he picked it up when he was younger and it seemed that he couldn't get it out of his head. Felix looked down at the ground, for he must feel comfortable talking around Morgan talk the way he was.
Morgan seemed to believe that these spirits did exist, so Felix saw no harm in asking. Trying hard to talk normally.
"What? You want me to go and ask them? Like a small thirteen year old kid who thinks to much for his own good would be able to convince a bunch of bloodsucking spirit monsters who live in a giant house somewhere to join your cause to take over the Ministry?" Felix paused trying to sound sarcastic. "It might work. No harm in giving it a try! But I can't convince them, seeing that I barely know the Lycan situation. How come yer' not going?"

This kid was too perceptive. "That's a good question, but I wouldn't say that I wasn't going, I just don't want to go alone. I thought I'd ask you, since you are a brave Gryffindor and all. I mean, that is, if you wouldn't mind."

Morgan was relieved that he'd go with her. It would make her feel tons better to have company along on this adventure. "Anything, " she said, "Name it."

“I have always been fascinated with radio waves and I was delighted to find that magic coincides with it. Take your wand for instance and Mancipo Sanus Aer"
At that, Felix placed his wand flat in the palm of his hand. Turning it with his other hand he soon opened his mouth. The sound from his favorite muggle station emitted from his mouth. Spinning the wand slightly with his thumb the channel changed. Breaking the spell, Felix put his wand away.
" The indecation is literally ‘catch sound air’. I have found ways to capture radio waves with magic. Now, electricity doesn't work in Firefox, but radio waves do! Now, it is like a magical interceptor of muggle radio waves that are in the air. The muggle signals are normally lost through all the magic, but countering it with a spell it becomes workable. Anyway, this is now only useful for listening for songs, but hypothetically, if I could only get some kind of mike that only transmits a weak signal then we could capture them with our wands and store them some how with wizarding recording devices. We would be able to have 'ears' throughout the whole school. Regular magical scanners and shields should not be able to stop the transmitters for it would only be converting the sound waves into radio waves and not actually recording anything. I am working on a spell that would do such, but my magic isn't advanced enough. If my theory is correct, nothing in the whole school will be safe from our ears. I can't use Extendibles ears, seeing that they use a basic listening spell which almost all muffling or sound proofing spells are made to defend against. You see this spell is not enhancing, amplifying or moving the sound waves, only converting them into radio waves, thus having them be independent of any magical or material boundaries."
Taking out a couple papers from his robe pocket, Felix unfolded them and handed it to Morgan. They were folded, crinkled and covered, both sides, with notes on waves, magic, radios and other useful information.
"Here's my research notes. If you can finish the spell and get it working, no secret would be safe from us! As long as we collect the signals we have such a strong foothold in this war! Malachy thinks it’s brilliant and I really need your help Morgan!"

Morgan gestured him quiet, and took the notes, skimming them. She'd already promised him, as reckless as that might have been. The magic all added up, and it didn't seem all that hard. She knew radio waves were operable even around magic, because her own parents had a large, ancient radio set, the kind that muggles had around before they invented the picture-box thing. It seemed workable, but the only problem was how to store what they recorded. "It has merit. I may be able to come up with a solution. I'll think about it, and let you know in a week or so what I've come up with." She suppressed a grimace as she realized she'd have to consult Reilley about this. He's the only person she knew who knew enough about muggle contraptions to come up with something workable.
"Now, when did you want to pay a visit to our potential allies?" Hopefully, Felix would read her grimace as her reaction to that possibility.

((I assume you have read the radio thread I had with Seth...))
Felix was was very relived that Morgan was not dismissing him in anyway, She must be desperate for help or two tired to care for disliking me. Felix was looking forward to the trip, seeing he needed a genuine adventure.
"Careful who you tell this stuff to! Only a couple people know and I want to keep it quite. If it does work then I don't want anyone trying to fiddle with it. There's a kid named Seth, Ravenclaw, 'bout fourth year, I didn't catch his last name. He knows a lot about this stuff but I don't know if I can trust him. If you see him, he could be help but please don't give away anything until you know we can trust him. As for when we leave, whenever your ready, I'll immediately start preparing but I only need about a days heads up. I would love to get the bugs installed before we go, don't want to miss a thing. If thats too long or you think I'm rushing you, I'm fine with anything. Your mission, I'm just in for the ride. But, seeing that we'll be in so most definitely 'quirky situations' I'll need to know some proper spells and stuff, a book can only teach you so much."
Felix had a good feeling about this, of course, he also had a good feeling when he decided to tease that flying purple hippopotamus with the giant teeth at the wizarding zoo.

"I know better than to give anything away. I'm not the one that started talking without setting up defenses first, now am I?" she teased. "Anyway, I wasn't planning to say 'Hey, Seth, wanna help me with a plot to overthrow the corrupt elements of our govenment?' I know how to be subtle. Which reminds me, there is one last interview I wanted to do before I petitioned the immortals. If I'm lucky, which I doubt, we might have a bit more protection on that trip, besides each other."
The problem is, I need an Auror I can trust., she thought bitterly. She remembered that James Mustang had become an Auror. He was a straightforward guy, if a bit pretentious. Now, how to get in touch with him, without going through too many people? Any Illusions she could cast would be detected by the trace. She'd worry about this later, in private.
"While I'm doing that, I need you, very subtely," she stressed the words, "to see about student support. But only those students who want to do the right thing. Nobody out for their personal glory. And we'll probably need a teacher on our side too. Ashelle told me that Professora Birchheel is safe to approach, also Professor O'Dell." She frowned, wishing she had more information. "I think that's it, unless you have something to add."
