OOC: Not to mention that DAN WAS IN THE THREAD when Az set it up, remember? I'm going to pretend that Forbes just walked in in an overly dramatic manner, all flourish and fanfare and whatnot, and then briefly collapsed. And I'll tell you what, I won't even reference the entrance in detail
Just when Sylph thought she had things sorted, something else happened to complicate mattes. Forbes, the ministry's - former ministry's, whatever - top auror entered the scene in suitably dramatic fashion.
He didn't look good.
Battered and bloody but still retaining something of a rather foolishly regal air, the wizard got unsteadily to his feet and addressed Talon in a stiffly formal manner, asking of him the very same questions which Sylph had posed seconds earlier, and while her ire was roused by his manner she understood his stance completely. That was, until he referred to Sylph as a mere pupil. Fine... she growled mentally. Let him rant, this won't get any of us anywhere.
She allowed him to finish his speech - and a lengthy one it was too - all the while her fingers flexing in a somewhat agitated manner, her gaze little more than a dead eyed glare as she ran through various protection spells in her mind, how to contact the teachers without causing widespread panic - her patronus was out, then. Still, once the Maltese general had drawn to a long overdue close, the violet haired witch stepped forward, her soil stained clothes and slender frame at odds with that of the rich cloth and austere face of the man beside her.
"Too bloody right," she commented dryly. "Shame you didn't take your own advice, though." Ignoring this pompous wizard, she turned on her heel to face Talon, the man to which she owed her true allegiance.
"I'm going to see to the school's defences," she stated simply and without inflection. "You deal with him, and then maybe get your arse off down to Drakborough, hmm? I'll catch up with you when I'm done here." Spinning around once more, sending her long, untidy hair flying into Forbes's face with disdain, Sylph turned and walked without flourish out of the office, her long stride full of purpose. She knew what she was doing; did they?
