(OOC: Not at all.)
Ryo probably shouldn't have drank the potion. It was a violent orange which he was pretty sure wasn't right. Would the antidote even work? Oh well, here went nothing. He finished in one large gulp.
A wave of cold washed over him. The room suddenly faded to black. Was he dead? No, he wouldn't still feel cold if he was. After a beat, an unpleasant sensation of falling came but it was so dark he couldn't be sure he fell. A minute passed of free fall and then his feet touched something solid. Several colors rushed past him in a blur and he was now standing near a stairwell.
What was he doing in Ravenwood Tower? He looked around and saw Ammaterasu lying on the ground injured. A cruel looking boy with pale skin and short black hair was looking at them. It was Zetta. Ryo shot a spell at him but he dodged it. Zetta vanished soon after and before Ryo could turn around to look, he felt himself being lifted from the ground and hit the wall with a sickening crunch. His vision faded to black. Sometime later, he awoke over Ratatosk's dead body. There were tears in his eyes. He looked over to see Chika handing him a potion.
"No Chika, neither of us were quick enough..." he said drinking the potion.
Slowly, the tower melted back into the classroom again. He held his head, "Ugh, what the hell..."

Arielle watched amused, at first, as the effects took place. It was almost hilarious - some of the odd things didn't even wait for the potion to take place. The witch said nothing to the Slytherin girl who - in a rather awkward manner - was forcing her partner to take the potion. She shifted her attention to those who seemed to have hit some kind of hallucinate - too much of the powdered ingredient, no doubt.
She even busied herself with grading a few things from another class, scribbled down notes as she watched for exactly where the kids messed up.
They always messed up something. It amused her, rather.
At some point Arielle had glanced away, and when she looked up, the girl with the bit of a foul mouth was locking lips with a startled Gryffindor.
When had this become match maker's club? She hadn't put down the wrong ingredient, had she?
Rolling her eyes, Arielle got up, but before she had time to cast a spell to get the two away from each other, the girl had apparently had her fill. Still.
"Although it might have been effective it was a little over the line, girls," Arielle said, brows nearly disappearing into her bangs. "Five points."
Anyway.
Satisfied, she looked over the group. A wave of her wand and a muttered spell would remove any of the dredges of confusion draught not taken away by the hazardously made calming draught. Sharp eyes glanced over the class.
"For extra points - house and class - you may write a short bit on your experience with the confusion draught. Those who didn't take the confusion draught may write about what they expected it to be like - or a similar experience. This is purely creative. Just give it a go. Six inches should do."
"You're free to go once your station is cleared. Class dismissed."

Leon took the note that Layne slid over to him and put it in the pocket of his robe. So they were sitting right next to each other and could simply talk to one another, but she wanted to pass notes? She wasn't looking at him, so he merely shook his head and waited for class to end. When Professor Bryane finally ended the class, she also took five points away from Slytherin House, blaming Layne and Micha's attempts to cure them of their confusion for it.
"That's not really fair, Professor Bryane!" Leon said in defense, even though he probably should have kept his mouth shut. The less points Slytherin had, the more likely Gryffindor was to win the House Cup. Still, why should Layne and Micha be punished? "You had us make the potion, you know what it does. Like you said, what they did was effective, and had they just offered us the potion I'm not sure I would have accepted it. And I'm really glad I'm not confused anymore and I'm sure Whites agrees." His eyes glanced over at his friend at the other table.
"I...I can write a paper on just why what they did was necessary because of the potion!" Leon tried to bargain, though he wasn't sure if it would work.
Wake up Leave your hesitations Wake up Time for us to realize Wake up Show appreciation Wake up Time for us to realize
Whites waited, still looking in Leon's direction, as Micha spoke. There was a pause, and then she said that friends were a waste of time. Waste of time? Waste of time?
Man, this girl. He mentally shook his head. He turned to her and smiled, but he didn't say anything. Who was he to mess with her beliefs? It wasn't his place. Sure, he already considered this girl a friend, but man. Apparantly the feelings were not mutual!
And then, something not good happened.
He hadn't been looking at the professor at the time, so he wasn't sure who she was addressing with her comments about going over the top. He figured she meant Layne Larkin, which he could understand, but then why was it plural?
Leon spoke up, defending his Lady. Man, what a guy.
...Oh, crap. He was supposed to speak up. Normally he'd just let it go--points were easily replaced, anyway--but Leon had called him out by name. Ah, well. He could deal with it.
"Yeah, uh. I actually did refuse the potion, which is why Micha had to, er... Force me to drink mine. I thought I was a dolphin!" He paused for the inevitable class giggle, then continued. "And well, it's not like any of us are too young to see a kiss..." He was finding it a little harder to justify Layne's kiss, but he would try for Leon's sake. "It got the job done, and I don't see how it broke any rules..." He shrugged. He didn't like talking back, especially not to a teacher, and especially not in his first class with her--first impressions were everything--but man. He didn't want to alienate the Slytherin girls any more than they already were.
He winced, inside, but didn't let it show on his face. "And.. I'll write a paper, too." At least his would be easier to defend than Leon's. "Please don't punish them because I was a dolphin." He didn't dare look at Micha. So much for being her not-friend.

Whites responded to her statement about friendship with a grin, which annoyed her, but then the Professor stood, distracting her attention immediately.
...Her actions had lost points?
A cold fury consumed the girl, but she didn't say anything, didn't move, merely put her hands in her lap and clenched them in her skirt until the knuckles turned white. Punishment for what Layne had done seemed somewhat fair, but Micha had only done what she had done because Whites, that moron, had--
And then Leon was speaking up in both her and Layne's defense, speaking out against the Professor like it had anything to do with him. Shouldn't he be glad? He'd gotten not only a kiss but his rival House had lost points. Yet, he ignored that, even offered to do extra work for their sake.
And then, even odder, Whites joined in. Micha turned to watch him, surprise bright in her dark eyes. Him, too? Perhaps she had underestimated them both. Quiet, hesitant, like she wasn't used to saying the phrase, Micha spoke to him.
"Thank you."
She would thank Leon, too, but later when there was no spotlight on them. They were both being kinder than she would have ever thought teenage boys could be.
Mentally shrugging, Micha turned back to the Professor, awaiting her verdict.

Arielle had expected this, although not necessarily the offer to take on extra work or the fact that it had come from the Gryffindor boys themselves. Well, they were rather smitten. The Potions Mistress hadn't liked taking points, but if she let it go that one time - she knew kids this age. They would take it, and be all over each other. Modesty was a forgotten virtue. She waited until both had their say, and even one of the girls muttered something.
She crossed her arms over her chest. "If you write the paper, and I find it explains the entire scenario to make it appropriate," Arielle said, unsmiling, "Then I will return the points."
The Potions Mistress didn't offer to give the boys more points. After all, that wasn't the jest of this 'assignment'. Part of her was a bit amused. The one Slytherin girl certainly looked irritated. It was good for a little bit of rivalry now and then, beyond the random snapping all teens had with each other.
Maybe she would have to instigate a few grudges on her own. Ideally, she would have declined the boy's offer, but there was no sense in that. Both of them had rather fair points.
She glanced over. Some of the stations were a bit of a mess, still. Frowning, Arielle flicked her wand and all traces of mess vanished.
Much better. "I expect it before the next class. I'll be waiting."
With a faint smile, she began stack papers - silly, a time killer. It would take a spell. A stern gaze found them still there.
"I realize you're mature people, but that can be disrupting in a class with younger students. Understand?"
Arielle wasn't going to explain herself further. They could take it or leave it.
