So it was that the Ravenclaw girl confessed to the boy and his dragon's crimes for them. Innocent? Preposterous! How could Malacky claim that in the face of Morgan admitting to his murders?
“Talon! This creature is obviously so very evil that it chose to stay behind beyond death in order to wreak havoc wherever it can!” he shouted to where Talon stood with the pair of students a ways across the dueling field. “We need to exorcise it or banish it or something before it attacks again!”
Still, his spells didn't seem to be effecting the dragon ghost currently. He needed to remember what he knew about ghosts. He remembered something about them being the imprints of a being, which couldn’t regularly effect physical object. Though, there were many exceptions, like blowing up toilets or TORCHING DOZENS OF INNOCENTS. Also, it was known that ghosts were not completely immune from the magical spells cast by wizards. Obviously he was just using the wrong spells.
“Diffindo!” He cried, making a slashing motion towards the dragon once more, aiming towards that point where wing met body. Fortunately, a ghostly imprint was little more than a hollow shell of the power once possessed in life, so spells that would have bounced harmlessly off of the magically resistant hide of a dragon were made effective. As such, with what sounded like a page being violently torn from the middle of a book, one of the dragon’s wings was severed at the join and fell from its body. Whether the damage would remain was yet to be seen.
