"Resist my madness," murmured Fenrir slowly as he contemplated those words, his tongue licking the corners of his mouth thoughtfully. His posture seemed to soften considerably and the lycan slowly started to chuckle, softly at first but with increasing volume. The lycan's entire body started to shake with mirth, and the dark-haired man chuckled, "My madness...my madness...MADNESS!" Fenris hit Roan with a strong, right hook that put her back against the tree. Still crowing with laughter, Fenris turned to face the other lycans and shouted, "Madness hasn't been guiding my actions now, only in the past."
"Yes, there was a time when I was insane with rage, partially because of my abandonment at siring and how everyone turned their back on me, and I would lash out at everyone and everything. When I killed people, when my bloodlust ran unchecked, that was when I was genuinely mad and now you have the audacity to say that I am mad once more?" questioned Fenrir as he wheeled around to face Roan. Walking towards her with all traces of his previous mirth gone, Fenris asked her, "When was the last time that I killed someone? When was the last time that I harmed a student? When was the last time that I attacked something just because I could!"
Staring her dead in the eyes Fenris Fenrir slowly said, "I am not driven by madness anymore, but by my desire to see my people safe and content. I'll can only act and from decisions on what I've experienced, and believe me when I say the older lycans among us know just as well as I do how much both sides have wronged each other." Looking in the direction that Leseur had left, Fenrir turned back to face the others and said solmenly, "I will go after Leseur and make sure he doesn't get in over his head. Orca and Cealla, please keep an eye on these three pups until I return: they can go if they wish."
Heading after Leseur's trail, Fenrir paused and turned back to look at the group, specifically at Roan. "Oh and Roan, what you said about the pack being better off in different hands...I don't take kindly to threats and you'd better drop that tone of voice if you don't want me to put you into your place."
