Once again, Gabriel had managed to get at Zeph. He wasn't terribly worried.
Those two had been settled. Draven would live, and with wizard magic the way it was, he likely wouldn't even have scars. Gabriel knew he had less than he usually would, due to Sparky's help. They would be okay, and go on living their happy little lives. Bla. Delightful.
Deciding he had done enough for the night, Gabriel leaned on the wall, waiting. That seemed to be all he was good for. Layne agreed, that they should deal with the trash.
He had neglected to mention the blood replenishing potion he had in his bag. After awhile he had watched Cassandra make them, and now knew how to make them himself. He kept them on him at all times, in case ....
Well. In case she came back.
For a second his thoughts were distracted, on a different danger, something more real. He shook it off but the grin had slipped from his face.
Christ, the fact that she hadn't shown up yet made him worry. What if she was really dead?
Then Orca ruined that thought with a random remark that made Gabriel glower at the lycan. Him. Him and Layne? Really? The Ravenclaw rolled his eyes and shifted his attention to Professor Cobalt.
Lay off the arm.
Ha.
"I'll try. Thanks, Professor." Not like he had already said that once and Sparky had ignored him. Or anything. You know. Cool he wasn't the type to get all pissy about something like that, right? Gabriel picked up and sheathed whatever weapons he had dropped at some point, just one at this point, right? Who cared, he never kept count of this stuff.
Ignoring whatever Orca might be hinting at, he glanced at Layne, and started for the exit. She could follow if she wanted, but he wasn't staying in here. He wanted to be outside, where he had room to move.
In case.
He didn't bother to say anything, but hopefully Orca would stay out of it.
He doubted it.
