With hands shoved into hoodie pockets, Toshiya made his way to the crypt to pay respect to the dead. The sun was beginning to set and the temperature was dropping severely. Not a good sign to most, but the training Shaman found it comforting. The spirits were nothing for him to fear, nor was the crypt. Oddly enough it felt like a second home to him.
The sounds of his feet snapping twigs startled the brunette for a moment before he laughed lightly to himself. "Gotta stop getting freaked out by noises when the rest of the surroundings are quiet," he told himself with a small smile. Closing his eyes, the teen tried to get a basic feel of which graves haven't been visited in a while. Sensing the basic direction, Daisuke turned and made his way to a small unkempt grave.
"Poor thing, probably hasn't been visited in ages," he whispered as he began to clear off some of the weeds and grass that was growing around the headstone. "But don't worry," he smiled. "I will visit you as often as I can," he paused for a moment to read the fading name. "Lydia. That's a really nice name there," he grinned gently as he unpacked a small incense burner and stick placing it beside him and lit it with his wand. Closing his eyes, he began to pray silently, not just for Lydia but for all of the souls that rested here.
Once the stick burned out, the Slytherin placed it back into his bag and continue to stare down at the grave before him taking note of the dates. This girl was only twelve years old at the time of her death? he asked surprised that death had decided to take a youth. "And killed beyond all things," he whispered. "I'm sorry that it happened to you," he said softly.
He had spent about an hour with that stone until he decided to stand up and bid farewell. "Don't worry Lydia I will be back," he promised as he left a yellow rose in place of his normal black beside the grave. And with that, Toshiya began to explore the crypt a little bit more.
Thoughts of how young many of the students were that had passed on haunted his thoughts. It was probably during the Shadow War he noted to himself. And with reports of Shadow sightings, Toshiya decided that he would do anything within his power to make sure others like his new spiritual friend and many others did not die before their time.
