Tobias laughed when Fuu thanked the Drink Goddess...if he ever became a religious person, he would worship her forever more. When asked what to sing, his face went temporarily blank. He had no idea...but he did know one song...it was by a group of wizards that posed as muggles. Odd idea, but they called themselves 'Journey.' He turned to Fuu, and whispered slowly to make sure he didn't slur his speech, "Follow my lead."
Tobais stumbled over to a mic, using his wand to summon his drink of which he took a large swig before placing down, and snapping his fingers, starting the music. Though he had never ever ever ever ever sung in his life, he DID inherit some talent from his mother...who had sung in her earlier years.
"Just a small town girl, livin in a lonely world She took the midnight train goin anywhere Just a city boy, born and raised in south detroit He took the midnight train goin anywhere"
Tobias whispered in her ear. He said to, "Follow along." That seemed simple enough. But it wasn't. Fuu liked to sing but she wasn't the greatest at it. She sand all the time whether it be in her head or out loud. She sand in the hallways, and when taking walks. She hummed when she took tests and notes. She even sung her cat to sleep every night. Fuu felt she was born to sing, just not well.
Tobias summoned a drink and took a swig. She was good for the moment. She wasn't full blown drunk yet just rather tipsy. She straightened her heard up and leaned into the microphone. She followed the beat of the song and Tobias' lip movements. She was pretty good at that. She tried her best and echoed alot of what he was saying but after it bit she got a hand of it.
"Just a small town girl, livin in a lonely world She took the midnight train goin anywhere Just a city boy, born and raised in south detroit He took the midnight train goin anywhere"
It was odd enough that both Tobias and Fuu were getting drunk. Even odder that they were singing "Don't Stop Belevin'" by Journey. But the oddest thing, was that they were doing it well. By the end of the song, many wizards and witches had their wands out, with flames at the tips instead of lighters. There was massive applause as they ended, and laughter when Tobias nearly fell off the stage. He got back to his second drink, and offered Fuu's to her after offering to help her off the stage.
There were so many different colors, and he was loving every minute of it.
Fuu bowed as the applause came from the many witches and wizards. The had flames at the ends of their wands. An amusing site. She wasn't that bad but she had no idea Tobias could sing. It was probably because she had heard nothing but his monotone jammer. The singing was nice, and if she remembered it, Fuu would tease him until the end of his days.
Tobias went to get off the stage and almost fell off. Fuu giggled insanely because at this point everything was just getting funnier and funnier. He stood back up to get a drink. He held out it hand and Fuu took it and hopped off the stage. Then, Tobias offered Fuu her drink. She took it and drank but she was getting full.
Then suddenly from the stage a bright happy jig began to play. They was lots of wobbly singing and dancing. Fuu slammed her drink on the nearest table she stood at. "Tobias!", she ordered. "Let's dance!" Then she held out her arm and waited. "And if you don't know how to dance, that's fine. I can teach you if you....don't know how to dance!" She called.
Even some people had their limits for drinking. He probably could have had yet another mug-full, but he too was getting full. Oh well, still enough room for this second mug. He was smiling after they took their bows, and Fuu's giggling never ending. He would have laughed, but he just wasn't struck with that much humor...yet. Taking the stage, was a merry old jig from some other country...he was fairly certain there were no traditional Spanish jigs.
He had started to go to a table, before he heard Fuu in a demanding voice. "Tobias! Let's dance! And if you don't know how to dance, that's fine. I can teach you if you....don't know how to dance!" Tobias blinked once almost unbelievingly. He might be able to sing, but he couldn't dance. He nervously stepped towads her, and took the arm she held out. "Y-You should hope you're a g-good teacher! I-I can't dance to save my life!"
"Y-You should hope you're a g-good teacher! I-I can't dance to save my life!", she heard Tobias say after he took her arm. She just turned and smirked then she walked onto the dance floor. It probably wasn't meant to be a dance floor, but tables where pushed to the side and everyone was dancing. So why fight it? She stopped when she made her way through some gropus of people into a clear spot.
"For this dance, do everything I am doing...but opposite.". She would just do a simple four-step dance. what she could handle and Tobias as well. She just stood still for a second. Her cheeks where flushed, the alchohol was really going to her head. "Alllllright!", she cried. She took both of Tobias' hands in her's. She took one of his hands and placed it on her hip. "Keep that there." she warned. And then she cupped her hand into his. Even though she was leading, she didn't want it to look that way. "Now, watch my feet.", se said and then she moved her feet on a clockwise square. "Now, just put your foot here---"she took the first step over again, "and this one here--". Fuu took te second step, "Here," she said after the thrid, "and here." she said finising with the fourth. Simple enough.
"Do you have it?" she said looking back up him with a grin. "Then let's try it again!". And she did the steps over again. "Now, we are going to do these steps, but we are also going to go around in a large circle." She paused hoping he knew what to do, "If you are ready, then you can lead."
Tobias watched and memorized everything as much as drunkenly possible. He chuckled slightly when he saw that she was blushing. He felt oddly warm...but that was because of all of the beer running through his system. He laughed slightly when warned to keep his hands where they were. "No worries. Perfectly content where I am...well, at least where I think I am. Heh...its fun being wasted." The young man looked down at their feet to see all of the steps, and ran it through his mind over and over and over again until he had it. Then he heard her say that he would lead when he was ready. He perked up to the tempo of the music, counting in his mind....though in his mind, for all he knew right now, 2+2=Fish. He was waiting for the next measure before saying, "Biggest mistake of my life...lets do it!"
When he first started off, it was with the wrong foot, but almost instantly corrected himself to keep from falling. It took a few seconds to get into the rhythm, but he got the hang of it, not needing to pretend to be in the lead. The entire time, he had been chuckling quietly, before the laughing got louder, and louder, before he was just laughing for no particular reason. He was drunk. He was with a friend. He was dancing. Life was good.
"Biggest mistake of my life...lets do it!". Tobias said and the they were on the 'dance floor'. He wasn't the best at first, he would mess up and step on her feet. But after awhile he seemed to get it. He was almost leading! Then she started to laugh, he laughed louder and louder and louder. That caused Fuu to laugh as well. After she had just stopped herself of course. She laughed so hard she stopped dancing. She was even getting light headed. That could have been from the drinking too.
Fuu stopped laughing for a second, she was really dizzy. She wobbled from side to side for a second and then headed straight for the ground. Along the way she hit a wizard and knocked him down. She was a little out of it for a second, but he was yelling at her. He seemed quite angry. She rubbed her head and stood back up. He was still yelling. Also, making threats and he pulled out his wand. How very uncivilized. Fuu felt it would be best she she retreated to her friend. Because now, not only the wizard she knocked was angry but her friends as well. They all called Fuu and Tobias names and told them to get out.
Fuu stood next to Tobias and leaned over to say, "I think we should leave." she paused for a second, "We can get TO-GO cups." she joked. Fuu had a rather large bump on her head an would most likely worry about it in the morning.
Tobias had quite a bit of fun dancing with Fuu, before she fell and pissed off the wizard and his friends. Tobias himself looked pissed when the guy pulled out his wand and began yelling. The Slytherin was annoyed, but held his temper and helped steady Fuu through both of their drunkeness, and the bump on her head. When she made the comment on the TO-GO cups, he said, "I dont think so, even without that bump, we are going to be SOOOOO hungover in the morning.
He slung her arm over his shoulder so he could act like a crutch and started hobbling out of the Bar. They had had their fun for one night, and the last thing anyone wanted was a full out brawl. Unfortunately, that wizard who drew his wand did not realize what he had done when he chose to shoot two minor spells at the Slytherin pairs' backs, and knocked them down. That, had crossed the line. Tobias had a grim expression on his face, as he stood, helped Fuu up, and placed her in a chair in the corner saying quietly, "Stay down, and don't move....I'll be right back." He then turned back to the wizard, who was laughing with his friends, as he flipped his hood over his head, and drew out both of his wands, twirled them, and held them ready in a manner similar to drawing revolvers.
They had pissed off Tobias, and attacked one of his only friends. There would be hell to pay.
Tobias helped Fuu up and they were going to leave when the nasty wizards threw a spell at them. They were both knocked over, which made Fuu a little queezy. Tobias sat her in a chair and told her, "Stay down, and don't move....I'll be right back.". She did as she was told. She couldn't fight but she knew Tobias could. He threw his hood up and pulled out his wands. Fuu didn't want to watch. She pulled her knees up to her chest and hid behind them.
Maybe it was the effects of the night but Tobias looked pretty cool. Fuu had never seen him angry so, she kept her face buried into her knees until he was finished. But then a thought struck her mind, "Wait!" she called, "Don't kill any of them." He was a tad zozzeled and there was the chance he couldn't gauge his power.
Tobias looked over his shoulder when he heard Fuu say, "Don't kill any of them." Both jokingly and sarcastically, he replied over the silence that had ensued when the showdown started, "Tie my arms behind my back why don't you?" He smiled cheekily, not planning on killing anyone...at the moment. He then turned back to the trio, all of whom had brought out their wands as well. The Slytherin boy twirled his wands once, before holstering them, holding his arms out in a Christ-like pose, with a mocking smile.
The Trio, (Whose names were Nick, Pete, and Carl all tourists from London: NPC), were insulted, and all opened fire on Tobias, who seemingly disappeared. Not even a trace of his cloak. The three wizards looked on in wonder, before suddenly, there was a 'whack' and one of the three fell to the ground unconscious. Tobias stood behind him smiling. "Invisibility Charm. Quite handy. I may be drunk but I'm not stupid."
Before the other two could react, his wands were out, he muttered "Reducto", and theirs had splintered. That left Tobias with both of his wands, and them with none. The wizards who ahd tormented them stepped back, before the Slytherin holstered his wands again, before slamming his fist into one of them, and his knee into his gut. That only left th one who had been mad in the first place, and Tobias. This was the one he was not going easy on.
The hooded boy twirled his wands out, held them both point-blank at the man's chest, smiled, and said, "Stupefy, jackass." Two red jets came from his wands, and sent the guy flying across the bar, skidding on the floor, and only hitting the wall. Blowing false smoke from his wands, he showed off once more by spinning the wands, throwing them over himself, and holstering them. He then walked over to Fuu, stumbling slightly, before looking at the bar patrons. "Anyone ELSE want to mess with me and my good friend here!? No? Didn't think so."
Taking off his hood, he held out his hand to Fuu, smiled, and said, "Well, I'm a tad zozzeled...shall we leave?"
"Tie my arms behind my back why don't you?", Fuu didn't want to put her head back down until she got a reply. And after those mostly sarcastic words she was satisfied. She buried her head and her red hair covered the rest of her head. At first it sound like Nick, Pete and Carl shot ff a few spells and then there was nothing from Tobias. But she knew he was alright. Tobi-saa was a tough kid. Through all the commotion she heard his voice. So, she knew for sure that he was fine.
After that it sounded pretty gruesome, and Fuu was glad she decided to not watch. There was a loud thud then the rest of the wizard in the tavern were whispering amongst themselves. She hoped the other guy hit the floor and not Tobias. Then she heard his voice. "Anyone ELSE want to mess with me and my good friend here!? No? Didn't think so.". Fuu's head lifted and her bright red hair parted. She smiled to see his hand. "Well, I'm a tad zozzeled...shall we leave?" Fuu just nodded and took his hand. She pulled herself out of the chair.
Fuu used her free hand and dug around into her pocket. A second later she pulled out a handful of neon colored medical adhesive strips. Still with her hand in Tobias' she pulled him over to the men. They were all on the ground and were looking rather uncomfortable. She threw the medical adhesive strips on the men and then headed to the door. People were staring at the pair as the exited.
Before Fuu said anything she made sure they were on the street and a good distance away from the bar. She stopped under one of the dimly lit street lights. The candle inside flickered with the wind. "That was amazing Tobi-saa!" she said in a very excited manner and she continued, "I didn't see anything but it sounded terrifying! Where did you learn to fight that well? And against three wizards! I would have died. At least I gave them some medical adhesive strips...so there are no hard feelings...." She stopped and realized she still had a tight grip on Tobias' hand. She let out a soft mildly embarrassed laugh and quickly released him. "Right then, we should head back to the school." she said and started to walk slowly. She was a little wobbly but fine.
Tobias glanced, and laughed slightly when Fuu threw the medical adhesive strips onto the three unconscious men, and took his hand as they exited. It was a warm night, and the moon was full out and shining, casting shadows which parted underneath the candlelight of the strightlight. He smiled as he listened to Fuu go on about what had happened, and blushed slightly when they both released their hands. He let out an involuntary nervous laugh afterwards, but went to help her walk straight by placing his hand on her shoulder.
Still smiling slightly, he said, "In order, I learned from both my father and his friends along with just learning over the years. Two, you would have done fine, and those three were amatuers that couldn't hold a candle to me...I could have taken on much worse. Three, I hope they enjoy neon on their faces for a while.......and four, we...we could take our time going back...heh, its not like we have anything important in the morning..." He had a quick little battle in his mind about what to do next, before being slightly bold, and lightly holding Fuu's hand. He really hoped that the alcohol in his system wasn't screwing him up too much.
Tobias answered all of her questions in an orderly manner. When Fuu spoke she often jumped from subject to subject and was hard to keep up with. He suggested that they take their time back to the school. He was right, it's not like they had classes the next day. The night was warm indeed and Fuu was glad of her choice of clothing. She almost wore something long sleeved and she would have been sweating by now. She glanced up to see what phase the moon was in so she could make a comment. Just then she felt Tobias grab her hand. She was a little shocked but not in a bad way. Her hand was loose for a second then she held his hand back. Fuu turned and smiled at him.
She would have felt awkward just walking and holding hands so, she decided to bring up school. "Are you going anywhere for the summer?" she asked. Her voice was calm but she was a little nervous. Fuu was kind of a loser when it came to men, she felt a little embarrassed. But she didn't want him to let go.
Well, so far so good. His thinking was slightly impared, but Tobias was just fine. He was actually surprised when she held as well, but also in the good way. He was wasted kind of too, so overall it was a successful night. Then Fuu asked if he was going anywhere over the summer. He smiled at her, and said mysteriously, "Maybe, maybe not. It depends..." What he didn't say, was that he would stay and join the Shadows in global conquest, and might disappear forever, or he might stay as a student in the new world order, or he might die. So many things it depended on.
His eyes shot up barely to catch a glimpse of the full moon. Naturally, the Lycans and Fenris were roaming the forests, the werewolves were changing, the nocturnal animals were enjoying themselves immensely, and the Society was preparing their attack. Things had been fairly quiet in the Diadem Fortress. The Count had vanished again, and Unknown had been plotting...but what? Admittedly, even Tobias was curious.
