Shocks rippled her skin into gooseflesh as Tiberius wrapped one hand around hers. It was like being hooked up to an electrode. The nerves in her body became and alive and her heartbeat quickened at the contact. Something lit up in the grey eyes that locked onto such rich green ones. Still she had to keep her cool and play the game. This was all about the chase and it wasn’t like she could tear off his clothes and take him then and there. The bartender may not enjoy that so much in his establishment. Keeping cool was difficult with the moving words that dripped from his tongue. Chloe had to take a deep breath as he came in close that time. Any other woman so close to Tiberius would have melted at the feel of his breath so close, but she was a different kind of glacier.
Lightly she laughed melodiously. “I thought we were talking about music sir.” Chloe said softly with a sparkle in her eye. “While a dinner and a dance are quite gentlemanly sir they certainly will not ignite me into an inferno.” It did stroke her coals that he mentioned it. Most men wanted to just grab her by the arm and take her in the nearest empty room. And most of the time she took her pleasure that way. But that didn’t mean she didn’t enjoy the finer things and that she wasn’t a creature of sophistication and grace. Sultry eyes were still bright with the thought of dancing with Tiberius. How long could she handle being in contact with such a specimen of perfection without losing such perfectly refined control?
Taking her free hand and extending one finger she ran it down his cheek in a feather light touch. It was her turn to play the tease after all. The feeling was warm though she couldn’t tell if it was him or her that was the source of the heat. “Though, I am intrigued.” The finger traced down his chin, then gently onto his neck before stopping just above his chest. “If you wanted to spark a fireproof woman how would you make dinner and dancing inflame so passionately? How would you take such simplistic behavior and cultivate a flower to bloom?” Her skin was electric with desire though she took a deep breath and looked him straight in the eye again. Here was the personification of desire under her fingertip and all she was allowed to do was banter with wit.
Letting her finger leave his skin with reluctance she took both hands back and leaned against the jukebox. It elongated her form and tightened her already formed robes against her skin. One perfect eyebrow was raised, waiting for a reply.
