Ceiced looked at Areya and smiled. She seemed immensely nervous, and judging by the way she held her broom she'd never flown before, either. It was for the new or inexperienced wizards that the Head Boy position even existed, to be an example and to smooth the transition into the magical realm as much as possible, and while she didn't look to be a first year this was definitely her first time flying. The easiest way to start was just to be friendly, and in order to accomplish this Ceiced gave a polite bow to Areya and introduced himself.
"Hi there, my name's Ceiced. It seems like you already know who I am, but it's nice that we could meet in person. Areya, right? Don't worry about a thing, I'll show you everything I know about Quidditch." which, all considering, wasn't an immense amount, but it just sounded good coming from an older student. "Why don't we get started?" Almost offhandedly he pulled out his wand and pointed it at the box of balls.
He intoned an "Accio Quaffle." and somehow managed to put away his wand and catch the red ball before it bopped him in the head. It was the perfect size, fitting easily in the crux of his arm and lending his other hand to be free to maneuver on a broom. This was going to be fun!
"Alright, I can assume you already know the basics of Quidditch if you're here for tryouts, so we can jump straight to you trying to stop the Quaffle when I toss it." As he spoke, he leveled his broom and hopped onto it, kicking it into the air and hovering there. A thought occurred, and he added belatedly, "You do know how to fly, don't you?" as he pulled the flight goggles down over his glasses.bg
