Oh shit.
If there was one thing Charlotte hated more than anything, it was the tables being turned onto her, making her look bad, making her feel vulnerable no matter how little she showed it. Instincitively, her hand went to her pocket, making sure her lighter was still there. A cigarette was going to be more than welcome after this experience. Who would have thought mouse-boy could rile her up so much?
Feeling uncomfortable, Charl nodded. "In case you hadn't noticed, I was putting it out, too. It was't meant to get that bad. I swear. I'd seen something like it at home and wanted to try it out..." and I knew Forgoil would kill me if he smelt smoke in our common room again... Charl thought, but didn't add onto the end. Otherwise he really would kill her. Could he even hear what Sparky was saying from where he was sat? How the brunette hoped he couldn't.
Doesn't make you look too innocent of the bludger incident, either.
"You have no proof I did that," the Hufflepuff answered, cooly. Poor little Mildred, she really had gotten caught up in that one, totally unintentionally. If anything, it had been meant for the Head Boy. "Though, I guess if you really wanted to know how it all started, I'd speak to darling Chastity. She might be able to point you in the right direction, and away from me."
Narrowing her eyes for just a second, Charlotte's face turned into one of near pleading as she looked back round at Forgoil in thestands where she had been only a few minutes before. "Forgoil...? Can we go now...?" She'd stood there and talked with the Ravenclaw, right? Sparky had managed to get more of her time than any other from that house in months. Surely that was an achievement enough.
