He had waited for this question. Out of all the stories Remiel had told, this was the part he had saved for last. It would've led up to it anyway, the imprisonment in Azkaban. So did the former Prisoner continue, "Your Father and I escaped from Azkaban, but he was deeply changed...I'd say he was still the old charmer he used to be, still had his mind, that's for sure, maybe just a bit kooky if you get what I mean. Appearance wise, completely different. Hardly handsome, just...a skeleton. A shadow of his former self."
He couldn't help but laugh, "Charmer..." A genuinely heartfelt emotion seemed to appear on his face. "He told me...when he was in Azkaban, all the Dementors seemed to get out of him was that one memory...being taken away. 'Cause he knew he'd never see his Marina. And whether he'd see his Sheila again? Well that mattered, but when your girl's paranoid husband sends the Pigs after you, you lose interest."
He shook his head though, his heartfelt look being replaced by a sort of hidden melancholy, "No. No he still loved her. He'd always love her. But Marina, well, you, were the first one he wanted to see. 'She'd be grown up by now, eh Remiel?' That's what he'd say to me. 'I wonder if she's beautiful like her Mother. Of course she is. I hope she got nothing from me.'
"But you did. You have his eyes." He pointed two gauntlet covered fingers at her emerald eyes. "I could spot them from a mile away. Clever cat. Were his most definitive feature. He'd love to see you. So I asked him, 'You crazy guy, you're gonna go find her, aren't ya?' But he shook his head. He threw me the locket and said, 'Give her that, Rem. You'll find her one day. Tell her if she still cares, go looking for her old man. But she probably loves "David" so much that she won't care.' So I've been looking for you ever since. I suppose you'll find him, if you look. I wonder..." He closed, seemingly in thought, waiting to see if Marina would catch him on it.
