The rain was still pouring hard and heavy as Niobe dragged Phugsius into one of the Greenhouses. Instantly they would be swamped with the heat of the building but at least it was dry. The hammering of the rain on the glass could be heard though at least it didn’t bother the occupants. Closing the door behind them Niobe laughed. “You know, I’d like to see an outing sometime where we stay dry.” They had spent time at the lake before and of course had ended up soaking wet after swimming in it. There hadn’t been a night as hot as that since then.
The girl dragged off her wet robes. The cloths underneath were equally wet but they weren’t as heavy. She was wearing plain jeans and a pale blue t shirt again. Her hand went into her pocket and pulled out a hair tie she used to get the sopping wet red hair under control and into a ponytail. “I figured that we could get out of the rain here and I could get some ingredients for my potions practice.” Niobe said with a smile, grabbing a pair of gardening gloves that was kept near the door and slipping them on her hands.
She went over to a plant that extended a vine to wrap around her hand tentatively, like it was inspecting her. “If you get to see me at my worst with my wand, you might as well see me in my more natural element as well.” Niobe said jokingly. Herbology and Potions were the places she succeeded. And her success with Herbology was more an extension of her Potions ability. You had to understand ingredients to properly make a mixture.
The hand that wasn’t wrapped in a vine found a pair of shearing scissors and she waited for Phugsius to comment on their location. He had said it was her choice…
