"And what makes you think I would spy on the ministry for some plan that probably won't work?" she asked raising an eyebrow. "It's a waste of time, hell I don't even know why I said yes," she sighed shaking her head. All this was doing to her was giving her flashbacks of what was happening with the French ministry. Sure she understood why they were doing this, but there are other ways. Looking down at the ground, Naddie crossed her arms and sighed. "Is this really worth dying over. Seriously sooner or later people's lives are going to end over a childish dream. There is coruption everywhere, and as long as mortals have greed, it's never going to end," she whispered feeling her body starting to shake. "So why even bother?" she questioned struggling not to start crying.

"You know I really thought that this month couldn't become any duller, but oh am I glad that you two have proven otherwise," came a voice from thin air. Should any of them look around, the voice's owner was nowhere to be seen: hence why he revealed himself to them. Photons of light began to gather in one spot, and from those particles of light arose a masterpiece. 7 feet of masculine prowess, beauty enough to make entire kingdoms of women kneel at his feet, and the intelligence that had backed the Roman Empire for much of its existence: that is what made the being that stood before them.
He appeared to look like a man, blond hair and pale sea-green eyes, but just underneath the skin was so much more. Power rippled like a current within him: more power than most wizards and magical creatures could ever hope to possess. The kind of power that comes from being rejected by both God and Lucifier: this is the power that fuels those known as the Nephilim. Smiling gregariously down at the two conspirators, Tiberius whipped a hankerchief from his trenchcoat pocket and proceeded to clean his glasses. "It is a laudible thought to believe that the people can finally overcome their fears and strike back at the government that keeps them shackled, but it is entirely hilarious to consider that you're getting only students to join up."
"Now if you had been smarter about this, you would've asked the students about what sort of magical creatures are still around here," continued Tiberius in a low tone of voice: that mocking grin still on his face, "However I haven't heard much from the big spider, our local furry tank has gotten a nasty shock: I daresay that leaves you a little short handed against an entire Ministry, who is growing larger everyday." Finally getting the last speck of dust cleared from his glasses, the blond Nephilim pocked his kerchief and placed his glasses delicately back on his nose. "Surely you can't seriously believe the validity that these students find the Ministry oppressive: the Ministry cannot touch Windwaltz's school because he is a representative of Iberia to the Wizengot. No Sir, I believe that your student followers are after more personal gains and when given the chance will try to dispose of you."
"Because everyone knows what happens to the likes of you", said Tiberius rather darkly: his eyes boring into Ryder's to get the point across that Tiberius knew he wasn't human and that it wouldn't take all that long for him to find out what he really was. "The socially minded leader that valiantly leads the rebellion forward gets killed in the end not by the means of his enemies: but by the greed and ambition of those he is closest to. You see when you've been around as long as I have, you learn there are more ways than one to...skin the proverbial cat, shall we say?"
Immediately Tiberius right hand shot up, palm facing outward, and nodded his head in disclination, "Don't even ask me to join your pitiful rabble. Godspawn such as myself never work well under mortals because we'd want the power in the end. Besides, you never sent me an invitation to your party like you did with the other kiddies. However..." Tiberius' eyes began burning like St. Elmos' Fire, fiery green and eerie: a sharp constrast to his normally calm, sea-green ones. "We might be able to reach a civilized agreement: I don't break into your minds and tell the Ministry your identities, and you get me access to Firefox and an appointment with Talon Windwaltz. Depending on the swiftness of your actions, I might even give you some advice so that your little organization lasts the winter."
They say that even God didn't have the power to destroy us; what makes you think that you can defy the power of the Nephilim?

This

Not
Good.
The false Munro panicked somewhat as he recognized the disembodied voice that spoke to Nadine and himself. He vainly hoped that the speaker wasn't who the kelpie knew him to be. Unfortunately though, it was exactly who he thought it was. Tiberius Spurius, in the flesh, as it were. The kelpie wondered briefly if he should just jump ship at this point, and give the whole thing up as a bad job.
He was an opportunist at heart after all, wasn't he? He was the guy who'd joined the Shadows to rid himself of a mad fairy, and then betrayed them for his own purposes before their major battle. Sure, he'd got beaten pretty badly on that occasion, but he could stand beatings. He couldn't stand death, however. Perhaps he should arrange for the real Munro's body to turn up somewhere, and then start over.
No, he'd listen to what the Nephilim had to say, and then work from there. It seemed Tiberius was only posturing at first, showing off his knowledge of the circustances to get the kelpie to do his bidding. And apparently, what he wanted was a meeting with the headmaster. Well, it shouldn't be hard to get him into Windwaltz's office, but the headmaster was rather distracted of late, and often took a while to see anyone. However, Skullwhite decided he wasn't going to bring that up.
"Sure Tiberius, I can get you a meeting with Windwaltz. And, if your eminence will permit, Thereason I did not seek you and yours out was because I knew you'd never join us as we are. And while some of my supporters might be after more than the social good, some of them wish to stop the mistreatment of others. You were young and idealistic once, you remember how that can go."

Nadine watched the two males with slight confusion. Who was this guy? How did he know Ryder? and to get to one of the most important questions, Was this guy even human?. Crossing her arms she continued to listen to the two males with slight curiosity. A meeting with the headmaster, is that all he wants? He has the potential to gain so much more, she pondered, but decided not to question it aloud.
Things seemed to get even more real with the more time she spent in the tunnel. When Tiberius spoke of being Godspawn, she immediately started to go through a list of biblical beings. Is this guy a Nephilim or a pure angel? she asked herself. This blond man was a true mystery. One that she wasn't too keen to find out about.

"Ah so finally it would seem that my name has gotten around: I was afraid the local bumpkins would never have learned it," said Tiberius jocularly: using a screen of friendship to disguise a mind calculating and hard at work. What exactly was the man in front of him? He was certainly not a human, nor a vampire or werewolf, but then what was he? His words followed like a bubbling spring, and the fact that Tiberius could barely detect an odor lead him to the conclusion that this being belonged in the water. He would have to do more research later, but he had all the time in the world.
The blond Nephilim grinned before inclining his head slightly toward the watery being. "Thank you for such a swift reply Kind Sir. And for such a sharp answer I shall bequeath you with some food for thought," began Tiberius as he adjusted his glasses, "What is the quickest way to kill a man? You shoot him in the arm with an arrow and he can live. You try to strangle him and yet he can still struggle and perhaps overcome you. However if you strike at the heart or the brain: then he drops almost instantly. Julius Plutus is the brain behind the Ministry, yet he cannot be touched: sheltered behind the skull if you would."
"No, if you want to succeed then you must kill the man that runs the Heart of the Ministry: the Magical Law Enforcement Department. Should you kill Head Auror Julian Forbes, then the Auror department will crumble and your rebellion might be able to succeed if they act quickly enough. Yet there is a problem: from what I have witnessed, Forbes is by far the least corrupt of all the Ministry members, and one of Plutus' staunchiest followers. You'd have to kill a just man in order to bring down what you perceive as an unjust establishment. How ironic."

This was why he never dealt with Nephilim, and this one in particular. For some reason, they, especially Tiberius, took such obvious joy in the discomfort of others. He supposed it was just the tediousness of eternal life, that was definately something that he understood, being a fae. "Thank you so much for that advice, Tiberius. I'll take it under advisement."
Now he was certain he was going to roll over on this rebellion. Even if they should dispose of Forbes, if the people ever found out it was them, they'd be rebelled against in turn. It was time he ingratiated himself with the minister. If he were lucky, he'd be able to take a cushy Ministry job, and keep his post at the University.
"Well, now that our business is settled, I say good day to you sir. I shall let you know via owl when I have arranged your meeting with Windwaltz. Miss Laurent, can I escort you anywhere?" He asked. He didn't especially trust Tiberius to be left here with Nadine, he'd heard the stories of these creatures. He tipped his hat to the Nephilim, and awaited Nadine's reply.

Killing Julian? she asked as her eyes widened slightly. Nothing is worth the death, and that goes to show that those of this life are quite corrupt, I hope he doesn't consider it, she thought as she continued to listen to the two.
It seemed that there were a lot of factors that with a single wrong move, all of it could end in an instant. She hoped that she got the job at the ministry, that way she could try to fix it in the least violent way possible.
Nadine looked toward the kelpie when he asked to escort her somewhere else. "Anywhere but here," she whispered softly to the dark haired male. She had a feeling that something bad was to happen if she was left alone with the blond man. "And think about it, here isn't exactly the brightest place to talk about sedition," she noted.

"Very well, Miss Laurent, let us be going. Good day, Tiberius, I'll send word to you as soon as I can." The false Munro linked elbows with Nadine and whisked her away down the street. "Miss Laurent, have you had the pleasure of seeing Drakborough? It's quite beautiful with all the holiday decorations up."

Nodding her head slightly toward Tiberius, she smiled softly at him. "Have a nice day," she smiled as she felt herself being lead away. She looked down at their linked arms and smiled. "I've seen a bit of it," she nodded. "But it would be nice to see it again," she grinned kissing his cheek out of habit. Woah did I just do that? she asked herself as a blush crossed her nose and cheeks.
"Well then, off to Drakborough," he said, taking the kiss on the cheek in stride. "They told me French women were affectionate," he laughed, as he lead the way out of the tunnel.
(yuck. I should not be allowed to write anymore if this is the sort of drivel I'm going to come up with.)

The blush on her cheeks deepened at his comment. "Well some are more than others," she laughed as she followed his lead. "So are you from around here?" she asked lightly trying to get over the previous moment.
