{Open to all, thought this would be fun...}
Some people bit their nails as a bad habit. Some could never sit still and were constantly jostling themselves. Some people chewed on their quills. Niobe would have been glad to be any of those people, but her bad habit was something different. It was what caused her to break her arm when she was six because she walked off her roof. She had gotten very quick swimming lessons at age nine when she walked off a pier into a lake in the middle of the night. Niobe had found herself in many different awkward situations because of her sleepwalking and tonight was going to be no different.
Like a pale wraith the Hufflepuff had walked out of the common room and found her way down to the dungeons so far. Almost stumbling and tripping in her sleep as she made her way down stone steps and through the dark corridors the girl headed into the Dungeons. She was quite asleep and actually dreaming quite happily about the summer she spent with her parents in Greece seeing ancient ruins. That accounted for the smile on her face which made her look even more strange with her closed eyes.
Blindly her hands followed the smooth stone walls and she wound her way down them not knowing where she was going. In her dream she remembered seeing her parents kissing upon a hilltop and closed her eyes…and when she opened them it was not the landscape of Greece that faced her but a dimly lit corridor.
Niobe was stunned instantly and panicked, not quite sure where she was. Being jostled out of sleep walking always felt awkward to her. It had to be late at night, she never sleep walked right after she fell asleep. The torches in the walls were lit but she still had no idea where she was. Only sleepy logic could deduce that she was in the Dungeons…somewhere. “Oh shoot…” Niobe said as she began to wake up and see her situation.
Goosebumps raised on her skin as it was cold in the Dungeons and she was in nothing but her light summer pjs. Long red hair was tousled and she looked down the hallway she was in both ways. On one hand she could get in huge trouble for being out of her common room at night. On the other…someone might believe her when she said she was sleepwalking. But Niobe bet students used that excuse even if they weren’t. So biting her lower lip she chose a direction and started heading that way, hoping to find her way out of the Dungeons before someone found her.
