Carrie rose both brows as the Ravenclaw missed his robe pocket. Shaking her head lightly and writing a little more down on the parchment, she looked back to the patient. "This just won't do," she sighed, moving over to another cupboard and pulling out a pair of clean pyjamas.
Putting them down gently on the bed, she told him: "Put those on. You're not going back to the common room just yet. You'll stay here overnight and see if you feel a bit more co-ordinated in the morning.
Shutting the curtains, the brunette nurse bit back a yawn of her own and put the clipboard down while she waited for him to get changed. While he was doing so, she called through: "What were you saying about those pills, Mister Antonius?"
Blast! "Uh, that miss was intended; yeah, I just wanted to get a good laugh out of you," he joked, quite feebily; he really did feel well enough to go back to his common room. The head thing? It was but a scratch. Glancing at the pyjamas he was given, he absentmindedly began to put them on, forgetting that he was supposed to be trying to get out of here.
His head halfway through the shirt, he said, "As for the pills.. I just wanted to get them and leave. You see, I still have a few things to do, and a night in the infirmary ruins everything; you understand, don't you?" He threw on the cutest face he could muster; spending the night in the infirmary was not one of his plans. "And besides, I'm just a little disoriented; I'm tired, remember?" This wasn't going all too well...
"Well then, if you're tired you can get some rest in here," Carrie told him sternly. "A knock to the head like that really needs observing. And sleeping here will save you going back to the common room, so there," she added childishly, walking over to the cabinet and taking out one of the pills and a plastic cup. Once the latter had been filled with water, Carrie walked back over and pulled back the curtains.
"Good. It looks like you're staying," the brunette nodded firmly, placing pill and water on the bedside table and pulling back the covers for him to get in. "And this Wing is watched twenty four hours a day, as are the patients in it. I promise if you show signs of co-ordination again in the morning, you're free to go, okay?"
Eating the bitter pill and wishing it down, he finally gave in and got in the bed. It felt oddly comfortably. Either an enchantment or just sleepiness, he noted. He would have to stop by here more often. His thoughts slipping away, he muttered a jarbled 'goonigh' and fell promtly asleep. 'A plot!!' screamed the inner voice, but it was washed aside by the great wave of sleep. Aah, magnus somnus...
"Thank goodness for that," Carrie breathed, falling backwards into the chair behind the desk. "I thought I was going to be here all night arguing it out with him." Luckily, it hadn't come to that. Though if it had come to giving him a sleeping potion, she would have done it. Shae's use of it had amazed her back at MH and it was one tip she was sure to pick up.
Opening her eyes to glance over at Ashlle, still with her fists clenched and the gash grease dripping everywhere, Carrie shot her a small smile. "You ok, hon?" she asked, bringing her legs up and curling them underneath her while adding notes to the parchment on the clipboard. "Don't worry about her, I'm sure you guys will sort things out eventually... but in the meantime, what do you say we have a coffee? I could murder one just now."

Ashlle jumped. Her rage had blinded her to everything around her as she tried to think of a good formal curse to put on roan . . not that she knew how to formally curse . . . however she had connections.
"Sorry, it's just that if I don't get angry I get the urge to cry." She then used her wand to clean the sadly useless Gash Grease from the floor then banished the tube into the garbage.
"I'm not so sure about the coffee, but I'll certainly stay, as it is my shift too." She came over, and getting a chair sat beside Carrie. "Isn't coffee what the American's drink? Have you any tea instead?" thread
A single chirp entered the room, passing ever quietly through the windows; the sun had already risen, shining lazily into the beds. Muryllis cracked an eye open, shutting it again when the light flooded into his exposed pupil.
The next time he opened it, the light was much more unbearable, and a chorus of avian voices could be heard from outside, adding to the prestine air of the room. His eyes adjusted to the sea of light, he picked his head up; the crack had apparently healed, and he could no longer imagine the brains leaking out. Looking around and stretching in bed, he suddenly remembered the duel Roan had challenged him to during the night.
Swinging his legs over the bed, he nearly tripped over the flowing blanket as he made his way to his robes, strewn over the floor. Feeling through the pockets, he felt the cold metal case of his pocket watch. He flipped it open and, 10:00 A.M!!! The duel was at noon... he had a mere two hours to get ready, but first he had to get out of here. 'And this Wing is watched twenty four hours a day, as are the patients in it,' came the nurse's voice from his memory. Fugare an vocare? thought he; which was safer?
"Nurse?" he called, looking over to the door to see if any of the nurses were coming. I really need to leave, not making a duel is as horrid as you can get..

Ashlle yawned as she made her way over to Mr. Muryllis. she had been marking potions in the back room when she'd heard him call to her.
" Mr. Muryllis, You must remain in bed until Miss Carrie says you can go. I'm sure she will return shortly. Never mind that silly paper, yes I know what it says I read it while you slept. She can wait all day for all I care and you shouldn't give a care for her time either after what she did to you. However since you are worried let me assure you Miss Carrie will appear soon. Now back in bed with you!"
Ashlle shooed him with her hands in a motherly manner, which looked rather silly on the short thirteen-year-old.
Boy she would be glad when Kasey came in. Really, she would be. Nursing a third cup of coffee after Ashlle had finished her tea, the somewhat jittery brunette smiled as she walked through to the call of "Nurse!" It seemed Muryllis had awoken.
Putting the coffee down and moving to stand by the bed, Carrie asked: "How are you feeling this morning, Mister Antonious?" and boy would she know if he was lying. If his footing faltered if she let him leave, the Ravenclaw would be back in that bed for another day and night, no questions asked.
Standing up to stretch and listening as Ashlle spoke to him (aah, so she read it), he was about to reply as Carrie, twitching from an obvious long night of coffee and sleeplessness, walked in and asked about his health. "I'm perfectly fine this morning, thanks," said he, stooping over as he picked up his robes. He jogged around the bed, quite flawlessly, and picked up his fifteen inch yew belladonna-soaked-dragon-heartstring wand up off the bedside table. Pulling on his robe (for he had changed out of the pyjamas before Ashlle arrived,) he slipped the wand into his pocket. "Am I free to go, Ms. Carrie," he asked, looking back up to her after fixing his shoes. "You really need to get some sleep, by the way... just noting." Standing up, he looked back down at Ashlle and smiled, awaiting permission to leave.
